Phantasy Star Online manual question

I just picked up Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 for Dreamcast and was sort of confused. It was used, and the back insert and disc were for Ver. 2, but the manual itself is for the non-Ver. 2 PSO... with a insert stuck in front of it that was for PSO Ver. 2

So, I guess the question is... is there a completely seperate booklet for Ver. 2, or is the same book as the original with just another insert on top?

It's technically the same, but Ver. 2 did have its own manual. You're not missing much in ways of an explanation, though. Only things the manual tells you differently from the first are about there being a fee for online play, Ultimate Mode, characters being able to be transfered over to Ver. 2, yadda-yadda-yadda.

That's what I figured. What I find odd, though, is that means that someone went to the trouble of cutting the front off of a Ver.2 manual just to sell it with the old manual.

Quite likely their manual cover got seperated from the rest of the book and just slapped it in the cover while replacing it with the PSO manual. I can't fathom how many games I've seen that have had the cover only inserted while the rest of the manual was missing.
