Just picked this up today. Was tagged as 50% off, but rang up $7.50. Original price was $19.99. Dont know if it was a YMMV, I found it in Brooklyn, NY. I searched the forums for this but didn't see it so sorry if it's been posted or in the wrong forum.

I'm going to try to check this out too. While I don't normally give more than $0.01 for guides, the guides for the three Nippon Ichi SRPGs would be the exceptions to the rule. :D

Hit up my GS today, and they had the guide. It was marked $14.99. No $7.50 price for me. I even had them total it, came up to over $16.00 with tax. Needless to say, I left it there. :p

A lot of GameStops are doing the 50% off sticker thing it seems. Just yesterday I went to GameStop and picked up the PS2 and Xbox versions of Driv3r (the PS2 version for my nephew, Xbox ver. for me) for 50% off each one. It's not a great game, but for $10, it's pretty cool. My nephew loves games like this, so I know he'll enjoy it. There was a lot of other games too for 50% off (Maximo Vs. AoZ, Front Mission 4, some other cool titles I already have (or are going to get for Christmas)).

The only snag: while these are "new", they're the floor models (ie- the case is already been unwrapped so it can be displayed sans disc, essentially making it "used" anyway :\).

Still, for 50% regular price, it's definitely worth looking into. I didn't see any strategy guides with the sticker on them though. I never thought about it. >_

As of Friday 12/10, they're now regularly $9.99 at GameStop. So if you can find one with a 50% off sticker, you should get it for $5. If you get the 20% off for buying it with the game, it'll be $8. Some stores will give you the 20% off if you just bring your reciept showing you already bought the game earlier. Depends on the person behind the counter. The old $19.99 stickers might still be on them, so bring it to the register to confirm.

thanks gollog! i'm going to try and find one at my gs :)
I bought 2 of them for $7.50 almost a month ago. Now if I can just figure out how to safely remove the stickers...
I used my nail to peeled off most of it. Remaining glue I removed with Windex.....Gently please, like a lady

YMMV. "Please ask your doctor if Windex is right for you."

Sounds like a good deal. I'll stop by later to see if my Gamestop has any. Last time I remembered, they had about 3-4 left. Thx gollog.

Hit up GS this evening, and sure enough there was ONE COPY of the Phantom Brave guide left, stickered at $9.99. Needless to say, I grabbed it quick. :D

That be the correct address indeed sir ^^ thanx for the Price drop heads up, now for the nocturne guide drop >.

I find it odd/slightly sad that they've dropped the price on their PB guide, but not any of the others. It makes me wonder if that's an indication of how well PB is selling at retail. :whistle2:/ Ah well...eventually I'll get my hands on their other two guides as well...the PB guide is phenomenal. This is quite possibly the highest-quality guide in my entire collection...if you don't have one, and you like the game, then $10 is more than worth the price to obtain one.

I think it is a great guide also, I hope it right up there with my Dragon Warrior IV Tokuma guide, WD Lunar I and II guides as well (though Nothing will beat out the greatness of the Lunar II hardback WD guide IMHO), and my Metal Gear Solid guide.

Yeah, I've got the WD Lunar SSSC guide, but not the Eternal Blue guide. I didn't have the cash when it first came out, and now...well, things haven't changed. LOL The gap between price and amount of actual money in my wallet has only grown wider with time. :D
