Well if you're into pink I guess that's a nice shade of pink..

I caved and bought a blue one so I could play Virtues Last Reward but I dont get why they haven't released a black one yet.
 
I'm surprised they don't me interchangeable "shells" for the top and maybe even bottom so you can customize your 3DS XL. I know Dell and a few other laptop manufacturers have that option

They don't do this because some people end up buying multiple systems or trading in and buying a new color when it comes out. Equals more $$$.
 
ughhh i would totally bite if this wasn't pink. what the hell. How about just a white and white one or a black and black one.
 
I want this sooooooo bad. My imported Candy Pink original DS is one of my favorite possessions, period. They've never made a good pink handheld here, especially not pink/white one like my old DS.

Until now. This is so perfect, I could burst. I just moved though so I've been pumping money into renovations and don't think I can swing this. It's the perfect pink though (see username), and a super cool exclusive.
 
I'd be very interested if nintendo makes a white or black 3ds XL. I've been playing my launch 3ds quite a bit lately and like it but would love bigger screens and I hear ds games look even better on the XL. I would like to see a 3ds game and ds game on the XL to compare to my 3ds.

I picked this up as a collectible.
 
I'll take a black or white 3DS XL. Or better yet, black+white. My son has a DS Lite with black shell and white buttons (black DS Lite with White DS Lite buttons/controls). It is awesome looking. If they made one like that officially, I would not be able to resist. :)
 
Will this be sold outside of Gilt? I didn't want a 3DS because of the crappy colors so far, but this one is awesome!!!

It's possible that this is one of the Black Friday colors and Gilt is early.

What's wrong with Gilt though?

It was last year right around this time that Nintendo announced the 3DS Zelda and Mario bundles. I'm sure they'll do something for the XL this year. Probably nothing as cool as that Zelda bundle though.

I think it was beginning of December last year you could get those bundles plus a $50 gift card at Best Buy.

You're not being a jerk, that's actually a constructive comment for anyone who is interested in the deal. The Layton set came back in stock a little after 3pm EST. I got a wait list notification around then.
