Pizza Hut Awesome Freeness

CAGiversary!
Kay. Last night I caled up Pizza hut and ordered a large Pan Pizza with Green Olives, Onions and Mushrooms for my wife, and a large with nothing on it for me. I had a coupon for the two for $18.99 which while not great isnt bad either considering Pizza Hut's prices.

So I get there and first of all almost got concussed by their hilariously patented deathtrap door hinges (I'm a tall guy what can I say?) and when I walk up to the register, the person making pizza's tells me that they are all out of larges so they are gonna give us two mediums of each kind we ordered in place of it, which is fine by me (MO PIZZA BABAY HELLS YEAH!!!!111) *ahem*...Anyway.

So she takes about 10 minutes making them and she brings them up to the register, and says "Two olive, onion and mushroom and two cheese and pepperoni." News to me, I inform her thusly that the phantom order be not mine and that I wanted just cheese. So she said that I can have the two pepperoni's for free and that she will make two cheese pizza's right away.

And to top it all of she tells me to keep the coupon and knocks a couple o bucks of the bill.

Total: 6 Medium Pizzas - $18

PWN'D

I've had it happen at a local place here several years ago. They were out of larges and made me 4 mediums. And as for the free ones. Sometimes Pizza hut does that if they screw up an order. Either way, pretty damn cool

how the hell can they be out of larges?!?!?!

dont they hand toss the dough?!?!

or does it come already in pre-sized packages,

thus showing how dumb the ppl who work there are

since they cant even measure the correct size to make a pizza

ive noticed that usually when they fukk up an order they let you keep the fukked up pizza! happenned to me once and i was happy

wed hit up this local pizza place after the bars and they would be about to close and always have stuff left over and we would get a ton of stuff really cheap.

I worked at a Pizza Hutt Carry out roughly 10 years ago, and if I remembered correctly the dough would be made and set in there respective size containers, ready to be pulled out and topped. I never made the dough myself. Anyways I think if they had the dough they could have made it out to the large...but then again its been 10 years so things could have changed. Congrads on the deal though.

Yup. I remmber years ago when they had the Big Foot piozza, my mother ordered one, and when we got there it was wrong. They let us keep it and made us the right one. And damn that was a big pizza

It takes almost three hours to properly prepare pan pizza dough; longer if it's frozen. If it's late in the day it's not worth making more, since it all has to be discarded at the end of the night.

now this i remembered. They would never allow me to make a pizza to go with left over dough at the end of the night , but would allow me to take home the screw ups or pizzas that were never picked up by customers. Because of that I had pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 2 weeks and my car smelled like pizza. After 2 weeks I went a little crazy and quit to work for TRU.
Damned thats a lot of pizza. You should of called some friends and threw a party out.
You can't eat all that before it goes bad.
True, thats why I gave it to friends and family.

Weird, if Pizza Hut is a chain, coulndt they borrow dough from another Pizza Hut? I know at Fazolis, if we run outta stuff, we just borrow from other stores.

perhaps it has something to do with inventory numbers and stuff..

I dunno, I never became a manager.

Yeah, thats the thing, I am one lol. If we borrow stuff, we just have to make sure its accounted for and stuff, but in the end....ah forget it.

Read my previous post.

Unless you mean borrowing prepared dough. That's simply infeasible.

Thats exactly what I mean. Couldn't you just call a store and be like "Hey this is Mr. T from store A, and I was wondering if maybe you think you prepped too much dough?"

Oh well, I don't work at pizza hut so I don't know.

Once prepared it's impossible to transport it. The dough needs to be prepped in the same pan in which it'll be cooked. Once in a pan (with a lot of oil), I wouldn't recommend driving around with stacks of it in your car. Take a turn too sharply or make a hard stop...messy.
