I was looking for a good price for the PS2 Eyetoy. I dont really need the game that is included because I am with gamefly.com and I can rent most of them.

Does anyone own this? Is it any fun?? Whats a good price??

Thanks for all your help! :D

I dont beleive they sell the Eyetoy without a game.

It's cool as a party game but you need to have a nice blank wall to use it against or registering movment can be hard.

You don't necessarily need a blank wall, whatever is behind you just needs to be stationary.

$39.99 Used at EB
Use AFF15, SAVER, and your Edge card to get it for $30 plus tax.
I'm not sure if it comes with the Play disc or not, I would email them and ask first. I am actually considering getting this myself.

Actually I've had trouble with dark areas of my room where the camera wouldnt recognize that my hand hand moved through it. It's a minor problem though assuming you contrast signifigantly with your background.

My walls are painted white, not the dark peachy color I am (half asian + half white)...

Thanks for all your input!

I just tried the AFF15 code for ebgames.com and it didnt work. I think its only for used games. BTW, whats the Edge card?

My background is only a sofa so I'm not worried about that =)

If you have a problem with the camera seeing you, you can also wear light or dark gloves or socks on your hands to provide some contrast so the camera sees you better.
My local BJ's has two copies left, I think, for 14.00.

The cheapest way to improve your eyetoy performance is a makeshift spotlight (aka, cheap desk lamp). Put it below your TV and have it shine on you, with the rest of the room being ambient light. Your EyeToy will see you a lot better.

Target sells Eyetoy with Groove for $30, and if your Walmart automatically price-matches Target like mine, it's only $28.84. Toys R' Us sells it for $40. Play is the better game, but I don't know how cheap that one goes for because I bought it at launch.

It's in store, at Rockaway NJ and Stroudsburg PA. I'm assuming it's not YMMV. I can pick it up at Walmart later in the week if anyone is having trouble picking it up that cheap.
I got mine for $24 something at Target by using a raincheck.
That sounds like a great deal! Too bad I'm not willing to wait for another sale.

Thanks for everyones input!! :D
