Playstation 3 help (hdmi output)

HI

my playstation 3 was working fine until today, I turn on the machine the green light comes on and everything seem fine (sounds like the machine is running) even after a while the fan turns on. Butl there is NO INPUT on T.V.

I tried a different a HDMI cable and a different T.V same result.

The only thing I know I might have done is turn off the switch in the back while the green light is ON. Could this result in NO INPUT.

Thanks any advice greatly appreciated.
 
Try holding down the power button when the system is off (red light in front is on), should take couple of seconds and it should beep at you. Let go and wait, and it might reset the display settings and ask you if you want to use HDMI then.
 
yeah this happened to me once before...

i turned it off and on a few times and it asked if i wanted to run it through HDMI

Does this mean I have to plug it in with the s-video cable it came with?
as I can't find mines.

thanks..if it does then I will guess i will need to buy another one.
