Sooo I am late on rent and I won't have enough to pay for it. And since I don't want to get the boot, I need to sell my PS3 to get the money for it. I reallllllllly don't want to, but I'd rather have a place to live then have my PS3.

How much would GC or GS pay for a PS3? It's an 80GB PS3, so I think that would raise the value for it.

And I did a search and didn't find anything. If there is already a topic about this, sorry. Just point me in that direction and close this.

EDIT: It's a 60GB system.

And would it matter if I have a few games on there? Like Twisted Metal 2? Or would they just re-format the HD?

You are wayyy better selling it on craigslist or on here, how much you looking to get?
 
Welll I'm gonna need it by Tuesday. Unless she lets me wait until Thursday when I get my check, which I don't think she will.
 
Dude. A 60 gig PS3 is the most valuable of them all. You've got to come up with another way. You will get robbed at GS/EB.

If you live in a reasonably sized city, you should be able to sell it quickly on craigslist.
 
Is there anyway she would let you wait till Thursday and maybe add in a little late fee? That way you could keep your PS3.

Gamecrazy WAS offering $350(though I'm sure that's in CREDIT) for the 60gb PS3, this was back on 9/10/07.

Gamestop/EB was offering $250 for a 60gb in December of 2007.

So yeah, as others have said, you can and WILL get MORE here or on CL for the PS3, since I'm pretty sure both chains will subtract at LEAST 25% of those values if you take the CASH value for the system.

Hell, as long as it's in decent shape, I'd offer like $275 shipped myself, but since I don't have Paypal I'd have to send a MO via Priority Mail for the item. You'd get it in 2-3 days tops.

But, I doubt your landlord would wait that long, right?
 
Ha, no, I don't think so.

I'm going to post it on CL right now because I was thinking it was like eBay, meaning I'd have to wait a certain amount of days etc. Maybe someone will see it tonight and want to talk tomorrow.

I hope you get top dollar for it. :) But $275 is more than you'd get in cash from GS/EB.

It's easy enough to set up paypal, but it does take a few days for the funds to be accessible. How did you get yourself in such an urgent position? I understand the need to sell stuff to make ends meet from time to time, but that doesn't usually sneak up on a person...
 
Craigslist is worse for lowballers, so if you were laughing at our offers, wait till those people start making their offers.

Welcome to CAG, home of CHEAPASSES galore. If you're in desperate need of cash though, you learn after a while that NO offer is unreasonable.
 
Basically, I've been late the past 3 months. X-Mas has really kicked me in the balls this year and so I got behind. And of course I just wait till the last minute to get shit done.

I'm getting a raise soon at good ol Radioshack (Assistant Manager here I come!) soo this shouldn't be a problem soon. I just have to bust my ass every week and try to sell as much cell phones as possible.

I'm actually on time 2 weeks into the month. The past 3 months I've paid on the 14th or 15th. It's just those 2 weeks.
 
Damn, I already got four responses. Maybe I can get this off my hands tomorrow.

And even if she lets me wait until Thursday, I'm still going to sell the damn thing. I'll then have no money for the week and I won't be able to pay my other bills. Sooo, it's a good thing. I guess...
