Just bought this for $1 but don't know which system its for. Does anyone know which system or what it could be worth?

Your picture didn't work. If you are using imageshack choose the direct link option I believe to share you image(I think its the middle option).
 
That's a Gameshark for the first few models of the PS1 that had that type of slot on the back of the system, it was before the disc-based Gamesharks.
 
It's not the Genesis. Don't think they made one for it. It looks like it could be Gameboy based on the slot, but I can't find one with that design. Looks like it was made in 1999 according to the back of it.
