Trade games/dvds/accessories towards any new 360 merchandise get 20% extra.
I'm guessing that I have to buy the 360 merchandise at time of trade-in? Will this deal still be going on when Oblivion and Ghost Recon 3 come out?

Will they ever have the trade in 3 get an extra 10 GameBucks promo? I miss that one and it's been like 9 months since I last saw it.

I know it sounds bad, but I'm seriously considering using that Trade 2, get 1 360 game free deal. First off, I have a copy of King Kong that I received for Christmas that I've completely finished. Second, I have a copy of Kameo that I will hopefully finish this weekend that I received from Microsoft for free. If I'm receiving GRAW in return, I really don't see how I'd be getting the bad end of the deal.

I don't plan on doing it all but I never understood all of the bashing GS gets for their trade 2 games get one free deals. For the most part, your basically just getting like $30 credit for each game.

Its really only a ripoff if your getting something like Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires.

$60 is about what you'd get on ebay for Kameo and King Kong, so that's not too bad of a deal if you need Ghost Recon right when it comes out.
I have a feeling the B2G1 will be coming soon. Just waiting to see the signs and I'll let you know.
That would be cool, I've been waiting for it to resurface too.

Changed OP to answer a few of the questions. No extra % on trade with the GS/More card. My best guess is that the promos will end at the begining of April so you should be able to use it for GRAW and Elder Scrolls.

I don't know why anyone would give these jerks their games. I hate companies that basically make money from ripping people off because they don't know any better.

That "Trade 2 360 games get 1 free" deal has been going on since.. Christmas, I think.

Regarding that 20% extra.. is that 20% extra per game or 20% extra to the total? And are there exclusions?

Been a while since I've taken any sort of math class, but...

Sum of 20% extra per game = 20% extra to the total.

Are there any companies that sell items for cost?

Nope... there was one around xmas, that one ended. One more started but that was for less then a week. There hasnt been one for atleast a month now.

I'm not a big fan of GS either, but if you can find me someone who is willing to pay $45 shipped for a used copy of my Quake IV, then more power to you. Even after eBay fees and such trading in two 360 games for a new one valued at $60 isn't a huge deal but It's better then I'll get on the street. It sucks that the only game I want to ditch right now is Quake IV, considering I already ditched PD0. Otherwise I would hope on this deal and pick up some other game.

well you could try online trading and get one game for another instead of trading off 2 games to some greedy game retailer.

Buy a New Nintendo DS, choose one of three games to get free with it.
Games Available: Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Mario & Luigi: PiT, Metroid Prime Pinball

Also I went to EB and GS today and this deal already ended, I asked the store manager to look into it and it still came back null and void. Boo.
Well, traded in Amped 3, and NBA 2K6 for the Oblivion collector's edition, so I'm pretty happy about the whole thing.
I traded in PGR3 and Kameo for Oblivion collector's and they said I had to pay the $10 difference? Did they make you pay the difference?

My local GS manager told me that the deal goes thru March 21st, which is the scheduled release of ES: Oblivion. So hopefully it comes out that day so I can trade in 2 for 1 to get it. But GS usually sucks so my guess is they'll not allow it for Oblivion.

so when do B2G1 deals usually get announced? a couple days before or so?

also, can't believe they're taking pre-orders for the 360 again. i wonder if they'll fill them this time...

Galvitron

No, they didn't make me pay the difference. The GS employee looked it up on the computer and read and reread the e-mail, shrugged his shoulders and gave me the collector's edition.

Would they refund me ten dollars if I chose a $49.99 game.

Thanks for posting this deal.

I'm kind of broke right now and could only afford one game this month despite wanting Burnout Revenge and Oblivion. Now I can trade the two games I have already (PGR3 and PDZ) and get Revenge this week and use the money I was planning to spend on that to get Oblivion in 2 weeks!

I figure I can pick up PGR3 and PDZ down the line when they are inevitably the first platinum hits titles for 360 but basically getting $30 tradein value for 2 games I spent $40 each (BB coupon) on 3 and 1/2 months ago is an EXCELLENT deal.

Damnit! I'm probably screwed. I thought that was the terms of the deal. Trying to fight it now. The dude told me to call tomorrow to ask about it, what a crock of shit! That's why I hate Gamestop and have always hated them.

So this deal is confirmed, correct? I don't want to walk into Gamestop tomorrow with my 2 games and have them not know what deal I'm talking about.

If you are talking about the 2 for 1 Xbox 360 deal it has been going on since December of last year.

I know this ended January 17th for EBgames, im sure it ended for gamestop as well. It has been more than a month now since this promotion was up.

I'll be trading in PGR3 and PD0 for Oblivion collectors.. or ghost recon.. Ghost recon is so good!

btw,PGR and PD0 came from the retail site, so i paid a total of $15 for them shipped. And PD0 sucks ass, I love PGR3, but i'll pick it up again on the cheap someday.

I'm trading in NBA2k6 and Amped3 for Oblivian CE.

I don't know why everyone bashes the store, I bought NBA2k6 used for $45 at Blockbuster (which means in credit, about $20 cash).

I never played it (didn't really like) and had it on EBAY where it normally sells used around 30-35 dollars. Head about this deal, went to GameStop to confirm, and bought for a second game Amped 3 for $35-3.50 = $31.50.

So I'll play Amped 3 for a week, then trade it in for a $3.50 profit and get rid of the NBA2k6 at the same time for a guaranteed $35.00 It's actually more, because I won't need to pay tax on the Oblivian purchase, saving another $3.00 or so.

To summarize, I'll get Oblivian CE via this deal for about $54.00 out of pocket, plus have had NBA2k6 and Amped 3 to play for a while.

I think everyone bashes it because in my opinion they are overpriced, especially on older games, and don't give you crap for trade-in on new or older games.

Everyone bashes them because they have questionable business practices, such as the "open box" policy, which leads to selling used games as new. There are a lot of things people hate about ebgames/gamestop such as the stickers they put on things, the fact that they give you like 5$ trade in for a game then slap a 44.99 price sticker on it, they say they clean and test games but this obviously isnt the case as we all get games that are scratched to bits and carts that arrive doa, they toss out the packaging for many games since it takes up extra shelf space and the list goes on and on...

I actually took advantage of the 20% bonus for merchandise going for 360 stuff on Friday-- I wanted to pick up FNR3 and had a couple of crap PS2 games that I had laying around--- 3 2 year old games got me 78 dollars in store cred.

I got FNR3 and put the rest on Elder Scrolls, 8 Days :)

Which PS2 games did you trade in?

Know the best way to bash them? Stop shopping there.

The only PS2 games that I know of that would approach that level would be MvC 2 and Disgaea...
