I know I don't post around these parts that often , but I was just thinking about this question. I get emails from a couple different political websites most days. Most of them I either believe their cause (or else why would I be subscribed to a newsletter
) or I did at one point (which is the case with a few of them). I'm curious to know whether fellow cags are familiar with some of these sites/groups , what they think of them , and whether they know any other sites/groups that might be worth checking out.
Break the Matrix (Ron Paul influenced group)
Credo/Working Assets
Downsize DC (seemingly neutral group influenced by some of Ron Pauls ideas)
FreePress (group focused on media and journalism)
TrueMajority (group headed by Ben of Ben and Jerrys fame)
Video Games Voters Network (group focused on protecting the rights of games , game makers and game players)
Out of these , Credo and TrueMajority I used to support a lot but have become kinda disheartened (not sure if thats the word I'm really looking for) with as of late. Break the Matrix I supported a bit back during the elections and before , but not that much lately. FreePress is interesting to read , but I've never really done much to support them. VGVN I still support. Downsize DC is kind of the odd man out , because while I like a lot of their ideas , I never seem to get the urge to support them like I did with Credo and TrueMajority some time ago.
Also before anyone asks , by support , I mean that when they send out "action alerts" to try and rally readers to send messages to representatives and politcal members that I respond to them.
