Possible deal on Samsung 17" monitor

The price is great and Samsung makes high quality monitors. 12ms response time is great as is the contrast ratio. Its a good deal.

i was shopping around for a monitor 2 weeks ago and saw this at most retailers for 299 and its one of the clearest pic lcds that were on display but decided on a sony cause it was 250

Heheh... try not to make it so obvious when you whore yourself out cheapy =D

I'm always weary of pricegrabber, I haven't personally had any problems, but a lot of people say they link to unreputable bussinesses... For $20 on an LCD I'd cough up the bucks and go with newegg, they're first class.

=P~ I want that... :D

I have the 17" and im very unhappy with it. I get streaks that go upwards when i play games on it. Very odd looking and annoying. Could be a one time thing, but just putting my opinion out there. :D

I thought it was obvious that I was posting the PG link to enforce that it was a good deal.
I guess it wasn't.

Are you not running in the native resolution for the monitor? Making the monitor scale the image to non-native ratios can do things like that.

:whistle2:s hence the joke?

Man, I really wish I had the money for this. I remember when I did my thing for a freeflatscreen and I was choosing between this and a 27" tv and both were selling for $400 at the time, I was really close to taking the monitor. I guess the TV held its value more. I always forget about that pricegrabber thing too, I should make better use of it.
