Possible DS lite release info

I just got the new nintendo power and there is an ad for big brain academy and the ppl in the ad are playing ds lites.

It may not mean much but it is an official niintendo ad in NP, so at the very least it implies DS lite will be out by the time BBA is released.

Sorry if old news.
 
Just wait a week people. I am pretty damned sure Nintendo will mention something about it at E3. I'm psychic like that

friend of a friend that works for a gaming magazine claimed to know the release date... june 5th... which would put it on the same day as big brain academy, making that ad make sense.

i've been skeptical about it all... but his date is starting to make more and more sense as may 4th approaches.
 
I think (hope) it will be sooner. They didn't announce it much before it released in Japan, so hopefully the same will be true here. It still seems likely to me that it will launch with NSMB...

And as far as price...with the AC DS bundle $130 (at EBgames at least), I doubt it will be more than $150 if it comes with a game (again...NSMB), and probably not much different than the AC bundle without. But that is just speculation of course.
 
I'm saving up and have $125 ready for it. It best be $150, or munch is going to be mad. I might even be crazy enough to take on reggie . . . but I think I would enjoy it too much. it would be such an honor to have my ass beat by reggie. I wonder if he's taken my name yet?

This thing has to be at most $150. $200 would be crazy.

Hell you can get a Japanese DS shipped for about $205 right now, what incentive would there be to wait if down the road it would cost you $214 (varies with local taxes)?
 
They would need to release at $130 to hold my attention. The DS Lite looks amazing, but I don't have the money for it now.

I think a $130 price on the DS Lite would be yet another in a series of solid groin kicks for the PSP from nintendo.

that sounds right. my nintendo rep said that its not may, but its soon. but to further back the claim, in the gamestop computer a ton of accesories for the lite are set to come out in june.

Well, I'm glad I imported mine a few weeks ago. It is well worth $35 extra to me to get the color I wanted (enamel navy) and get the Lite a couple of months early. This little system puts the original to shame with its improved screen quality, stylus and styling. Now just get me that damn New Super Mario Bros.

Maybe I can hold off and wait to get my DS Lite, and Nintendo Revolution on the same day with a possible choice of color by then.... maybe.

Knowing EB/Gamestop just to buy a REV you will have to buy a DS lite(in your choice of color),2 DS games, 4 REV games, a extra controller and memory card.
 
Just in case you guys don't know, according to Craig of IGN, the NDA on DS Lite release info expires tomorrow(May 4th). Most likely Nintendo will make an announcement then, if they don't, the press probably will.
