Pre-order True Blood Season 3 Bluray $39+ at BB.com

I hope Amazon matches too. Thanks for the link OP, I don't think it's a price mistake a lot of times they will have a sale on TV seasons the first week they are out. If I remember right I got True Blood Season 2 about this same time last year for a similar price.
 
Whats the difference between this one and the BBuy exclusive they have for $20 more? Steelbook? I see that it has a sticker on it but I can not make out what it says...

Best Buy had Season 2 last year for this price.

I'm hoping they have bottles of Tru Blood in the store to purchase again. They only had one left when I went last year, and that's been sitting on my shelf unopened as a collector item, but I want another bottle to try it.

When I browsed bb.com it mentioned about the bb exclusive having the bottle opener thrown in the package. If you look closely at the bb exclusive version of season three you can see what looks like the bottle opener on one of the stickers. It may just be a reused "exclusive".

It was $4 a bottle at my local BB, and it still sold like crazy. According to my unopened one from last year, it's a blood orange flavored soda. The bottle is made out of glass, with the Japanese characters and such in it. The actual soda amount is only 14oz. It's pretty cool, I've gotta say.

Heads up - the spine is Black on this one. Looks dumb on the shelf (White, Black, Black). Some really cool Special Features this time around though.

Well Amazon finally matched the price. Awesome because I had been banking Amazon credit from swagbucks and now have $15 more than I needed left over. I'm guessing it will stay this price for the 1st week of release and then jump back up to $50 until Black Friday or so. That's pretty much how it went with season 2.

They are all very well reviewed on blu-ray.com but I have only ever watched them on BR so can't really compare. I can say that the sound is incredible even with a cheap surround system or simulated surround on a TV. I think the video is supposed to be slightly dark and grainy most of the time so it's not as eye popping as more colorful BR movies but looks really sharp to me. I would wait til black friday time if you can or see if the 1st 2 go on sale sometime around when the new season comes out because they are still pretty expensive IMO for how long they have been out.

Well actually this store around my way that buys and sells preowned games/dvds/blus etc. they have the first season on blu for $20 and the second for $25. They would also buy my season 1 and 2 on DVD for $20 each. I basically have to pay a $5 difference to upgrade both seasons.

If you've got an HDTV, then I'd go for blu-ray. The extra resolution alone is totally worth $5.

The show looks much better in HD on BD than it does on DVD.

HBO content regularly is some of the best looking content on my HDTV for TV content, even coming from a cable source. The BDs look better at 1080p than the cable-sourced content at 1080i, and miles beyond the DVDs.

I'd make that upgrade in a hot second and not look back.
