Soi did not really know where to post this so I figured Shopping discussions/bragging rights.
I pre ordered Mass Effect 3 CE Xbox 360 on 11/12/11. I went to the Best buy to pick it up today and low and behold they told me that it was not there. They first said it was because of the tornado's but then said that they had only received 5 copies of the game and they used them to fill .com orders. The manager came over and tried to pass off a regular edition to which I said absolutely not. I had to leave to meet my wife for lunch but I would come back while theyfixed their error. I was PISSED, but I maintained my professionalism. I went and had lunch with my wife and went back about 40 minutes later. When I walked to the counter the gamin rep stated that he was very sorry but they did not have my game. He continued to tell me that a bulletin went out to the stores and that anyone who pre ordered but did not get their game was to be compensated with a $79.99 gift card...AND they would fulfill the game order for me and ship it to my house between 3/16-3/18. I of course asked if I there was any way that the game would not arrive and he said no because they had 55 in stock in the warehouse.
The morale to this story is Yes Best Buy
ED up, however, they went above and beyond to take care of me. I thought it was more than generous that they compensated me the price of the game. So if you have a ME3 CE pre order that you have not picked up you may want to check with the store to see if they have it...if not you could be compensated $80.
