boxed Super Mario RPG - paid $5
complete Thousand Arms - paid $5
complete Wild Arms PSX - paid $5
boxed FF4 advance - paid $5

not a bad deal.. i was estatic about the SMRPG.. i already have it.. but this one is much nicer then one i have already..

i was nearly jumping up and down when i got to my car.

all of those look excellent, esp the mario rpg, tho i have no idea about thousand arms.

Actually i think i remember, that is the hentai game where the girls you are adventuring with like you more as your sword gets bigger, and you date them. I always gave the worst answers to watch them get pissed. i was hoping to see some penetration or at least a tentacle, but no dice so i gave up after a few hours

at any rate, nice finds.

its kinda why i've never given up hope about this pawn shop in town..

just about the time you think you'll never find anything you find a find like this one.. i just like their "flat rate" prices.. i mean yeah the sports games are never worth it but when you find good games you know the price won't be way high.. anyways.. this probably tops the previous best pawn shop find for me.. which was tactics ogre for the 64 for 8 bucks.. or maybe xenogears for 5 bucks..

not to be discouraging.. but looking at your location.. you might find the owners in your area to be the ones that "look at ebay" for prices.. i've noticed more in big cities that are the ones with "worse" pricing then ones in areas with less people

i live in a comparitively small area.. (bigger then most places in utah, but no where near as big as Provo or SLC)

but you never know unless you go look.. just don't go there thinking you'll find something.. the majority of the time you wont

I've found tons and tons of awesome deals at pawn shops, but my best find was probably when I found Suikoden II, complete and in mint condition, for 5 bucks. I've been lucky with that game... I found another complete copy of Suikoden II a couple years earlier for 10 bucks. So I've got two copies of the game now. I should get around to trading that extra one...>_>

You're probably right about that.
I've gotten lucky a few times on CraigsList, but it's very rare.

Nice job though!

thats kinda the dream..honestly, i've picked up quite a bit of PS era RPGs lately (lately as in the last 6 months or so) so i'm hoping for one day that Suikoden rears its head there.. and after today i still have hope.. just by looking frequently (its on the way home from work so i go like 2-3 times a week) i think i get the majority of the deals that go through there

i should keep track of all the cool stuff i get from there, (i've also been known to pick up www.rifftrax.com movies there to for like 4 bucks) they have an arcade cabinet (some crappy game from 87) its a sit down fighter pilot type game.. i don't know how much they want for it.. but i don't have the room for it.. heh but yeah.. i might sell the Mario RPG.. the box isn't in perfect shape though (one of the inside flaps is torn and it doesn't have all its papers, just most) but i'll probably keep it to display as i've really never seen boxed snes games much..
