We should begin the painful legwork of actually adding people to our Wii friends list for SSBB I assume we'll be using Uno or a lobby in Halo 3 to communicate.

There may already be a list but here goes:

1. Indifference: 1257 7692 7435 5568, PM/reply me if you add me and I will do the same

Can we standardize on some Xbox 1 or PC-based compatible solution for voice chat? I'm a stereotypical Wii owner with no HDTV/360/PS3 ;)

Won't the game have specific friend codes making this pointless?

Also, screw using Live for chatting. Everyone here has at least access to a computer, use Skype.

Meh, I actually wouldn't have minded using a computer, but how I set things up it would definitely be better for me to use Live for chatting. Now for those who use say a bluetooth headset or so with their computer then I see no problem.

Now I think the OP want people to begin sharing their regular Wii number and then only have to add one more for the game itself instead of both codes? I don't even know how the codes work since I don't have any online Wii games...so do you need to add a friend on the Wii and game to be able to play or is it just the game code?

Yes, it's pointless until the actual game is released. See http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/wi-fi/wi-fi03.html. Wii Codes and Smash Friends are two separate codes. Maybe someone who has the Japanese version of the game can confirm, but it appears only a Smash code is needed.

Well, my preemptive set up is getting a new USB dongle so i can get my wii back online. I have cell phone internet carrier and no land line at all. I am outside the area of getting cable, or cable modems.

So my options were cell or dish. I went cell so it was mobile with my laptop or I can also plug it into the PC.

The biggest mistake I made is my upload over the Cell option is slower than the Dish would have been. Otherwise its pretty quick.

So I have the dongle on the way. I will get that on and then wait for my game to come in before coming back here.

I actually haven't even set up my Wii for online yet... and it's been almost a year since I've had it.:whistle2:k Figured it was pointless until SSBB would be coming out so... heh...

Yeah I think it's pointless because you will get yet ANOTHER Wii friendcode specific to SSBB.

I'm not really sure if you need to already have your Console's friend codes linked up or not.

On Endless Ocean I just entered an already existing friend's Endless Ocean code so I don't really have a basis for comparison.

Question. If I have a bluetooth headset already, could I use this on skype? What would I need to have for my computer and skype recongize the bluetooth headset?

A Bluetooth receiver on your PC is all you'd need.

I say use a PC for chatting, because if you're posting on these forums, you probably have a PC.

Not everyone has a 360.
