So the Fry's will take any local or online ad when pm. They handed me some slip when entering the store about the pm guarantee.

Has anyone had luck on pm at other retail chains such as bestbuy, walmart or Target with a weekly online ad? The local walmart here doesn't even pm Fry's which is pretty strict, they said because it was because Fry's is 18 miles away!

There are other YMMV things where people have had luck with bestbuy pm gift card deals. They usually don't do this do they?

My experience with price matching is that you need to have the physical ad, a print out from the computer won't be accepted, and also that most stores will fight you every step of the way to deny you on a price match. When you do manage to PM successfully, it requires going through several layers of management to get it approved. That's why I usually don't even bother.

yeah the last time I had to try 2 targets to give me a PM deal, they say it wasn't a deal because Fry's had castlevania listed for $39.99 (sale price) another $20 which made it $20.

Just trying to find the best deal for Dark Souls. I heard some people were successful PM at bestbuy for this deal.

Yeah, I don't bother really unless something is out of stock. Wal-Mart has also tightened up their pm-ing as well I think limiting it to 10 or 15 miles from the competitor. Years ago, I'd PM Marvel Overpower cards from Revco's bi-weekly 99 cent sales (my friend and I bought them all and they never got more) and Wal-Mart would accept it when they were at least 15 miles away.

A while after that, my grandfather ran into trouble pming stuff from Wal-Mart to K-Mart (and K-Mart was in the same shopping center as Revco). They said they weren't competitors, despite being the only Wal-Mart and K-Mart in the county. He'd get around it usually by arguing enough by arguing that point and that Wal-Mart had seemingly purposefully put themselves in a location where there weren't any competitors within their price match radius. (And here in Central PA they did that a good bit.)

Walmart's PM policy is great for me.
I recently got Walmart to PM Kmart without a printed ad.

Please read this thread (I don't know how to link posts well yet).

Just in case, the link doesn't work, I got 3 PS3 games (Catherine, Deus Ex and Infamous 2) for $6.99 each with Walmart PM policy and Kmart website printouts.

A lot of people said I was very lucky (because of the price difference $60 vs $7), but I ask for a lot of PMs at Walmart without the competitor's ad and they work out for me.
