Problem with downloading full xbox 360 game on the website

Hello, long time CAG here, though I usually just read. :p

With all the Mass Effect 2 talk, I have really wanted to get into the Original game since I never had a chance to get to it. I tried to download the full game from the xbox live website - so it can download on my console, but I keep getting this error :

This content cannot be purchased from Xbox LIVE Web Marketplace because you do not have the latest Xbox LIVE update on your console. Please log into Xbox LIVE with your console before purchasing content from Web Marketplace.

Now keep in mind.. it lets me download ANY other game/add on.. except Mass Effect 1. My console is up to date and I play it on a daily basis. I tried to call Microsoft support but they just kept telling me to choose a different game to purchase, lol. I really want to download it rather than purchase it in a store because I can use my Microsoft points (which I've had for awhile) instead of cash. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help. This issue has been going on for weeks. I really want to play this game! :(


EDIT - Now I feel like an idiot. I never noticed the buy with points option. Thanks for the replies/help. I appreciate it greatly. :p

Try downloading it from the console itself? Not sure why it wouldn't let you do it from the site really since I don't do the games on demand thing, but since those points are tied to your account just go to the marketplace on the dashboard and try from there.

The problem is I want to use my Microsoft points and it wont let you choose to pay with them on the console itself

It will. There's some button you press on the payment screen, don't remember which though. Maybe the "Y" button? Regardless, there's a way to pay with points.
