Product to hold my books best?

I can't bring a bookshelf or anything like that to school with me, but I find my books are always a pain to get to the one I want best. Does anyone know of anything I can buy that will hold books in possibly separate compartments or something? If I put the books horizontally, getting to the bottom book on the top shelf is a hassle and I usually drop stuff, if I put them vertically, picking on in the middle causes them to fall into each other and knock all kinds of stuff. This is a problem with a metric ton of textbooks. Any ideas?

Make a tiled floor out of your textbooks. Your room will become stylish as well as easy to locate and access each individual book.

Why not just use some collapse-able plastic shelves or stackable milk crates?

why cant you have a bookshelf now?

you should be able to get some shelves at home depot cheap and just mount a few on the wall and get some bookends.
