PS+ and PSN deals?

There's often deals on Xbox Live Gold and points cards. I don't see a thread for PS+ subscription and PSN $$$ deals. Do PS+ subs or PSN $$$ cards ever go on sale? PS+ seems great, but if I can get a year for less than $50 that would be even better. :)
 
They rarely go on sale especially the PS+ cards. Even when PSN cards go on sale, the discount is very small like 10% which comes out to about $2 on a $20 card.
 
From what I understand the problem comes from PSN cards being actual "Money" i.e. giftcards, vs live cards, that are "Points". I've only gotten them at a discount through ebay (winning a bid at slightly lower than standard price) and recently through a coupon at HEB (Texas grocery stores chain) where they had 5 off 50, 15 off 100 and 50 off 300 on gift cards
 
iTunes cards go on sale sometimes, and they are $ amounts too. The discounts aren't as big as we get for MS points, but they are there. So not sure being dollar amounts has anything to do with it. Hopefully we see some deals at some point.
 
When it comes to things like PS+/PSN cards, they won't really go on sale 'individually' on their own but rather be discountable through some other more general promotion that allows you to buy those cards, like a %-off a total purchase or a $20-for-$10 kind of thing (but you have to read the terms and make sure they're not excluded). One of the times I got a PSN card on the cheap was by getting a GameStop GC on the cheap some other way and then using that, for example.
