PS2 Games that might be worth $2 trade-in?

Hi, I'm interested in getting a PS3 through Gamestop's deal where you trade in your old PS2 and 3 games and you get $100 off a PS3. The fine print says the value of the PS2 games must be $2 or more. I'm kinda hoping the Gamestop guy might slack and not care what I trade-in with(planning on going in 15 minutes before closing with a PS2 in a gym bag). What games do you think would still have around a $2 trade-in value?

So far I'm hoping
1. SW Battlefront 2
2. Madden 08
3. Guitar Hero Encore Rock the 80's
4. Ace Combat 5
5. Spider Man 2

Feel free to list some other ones you might think be worth $2. My collection is pretty large but kinda old so I might have it.

Don't bother with any sports games unless they have 09 in the title, since they won't give $2 for any sports that are not the current year. Spider-Man 2 will not be able to qualify either.

Basically look at how much they sell the games for, take 1/5 of that price and that's usually what you get for PS2 games. Like I said the only exception is sports games. So if you take Ace Combat 5, SW Battlefront 2 & Guitar Hero Encore, those should work for the deal.

You do realize that the current PS3 is not backward compatible, right? So if you trade in your PS2 you might as well trade in your entire PS2 collection, unless you've got another PS2 or for some reason plan to buy a new one after trading the old one in.

Maybe you do have more then one PS2, though. I've got 3. :) If they'd let me trade in 2 PS2's and 6 games to get $200 off, I might bite on this deal. Then again, maybe not, seeing how I'd still have to pay $200+ out of pocket - ouch! The PS3 is so dang expensive!

Honestly, I think the only reason Gamestop is doing this is due to a price drop for the PS3 coming in early June. Otherwise this promotion makes absolutely no sense.

I don't really get what you're saying here... I couldn't imagine they would care what games you traded in provided they maintain that $2 TIV limit as per the deal's terms(it's always possible it happens a lot more than I know of but I've only once read about a GS employee/manager denying trade-ins for games they feel they have too many of). Stopping in 15 minutes before closure probably wouldn't make a difference, it might just make them kind of irate. I don't quite understand where the gym bag factors in to the equation.

I agree with the 1/5 thing. It's not incredibly accurate but it should definitely help you get a general idea of games over $2.
