Aaargh...I signed up, then forgot to enter the code. I made another account, though...

Oh well, this is great- I was thinking of joining, but didn't want to pay for each trade. Maybe I'll get used to it.

Eh, I'll give it a shot. Not really interested in a PS3, but I guess I could try to at least get one for the sake of having it. Plus it'd save anyone who would win $500.

No. I cannot speak specifically and definitively about this promotion, but unless things have changed, if you have entered in the appropriate concert code, there will be no confirmation per se. Just enter the code, and you'll be fine.

Guys, this really is a great promotion. I have to admit I was very skeptical about Goozex at first until I heard about the DS Lite giveaway on the CAGcast. So I thought, "What the heck, I'll give it a try." I've gotten rid of three DS games so far and received three new ones already! Goozex really is an awesome game trading community.

the site happens to be really good - I've sent in three games and I've so far received five, with two more on the way. Plus I won a free copy of God of War II over on the forums there. I can't really say anything bad about the site yet. Of course a contest for a free ps3 over in the forums wouldn't be too shabby too ;)

Yeah it's pretty much crap that the best promos are only available for new members, it's why I quit using Goozex before even shipping out my first game, after I wasn't eligible for that DS contest. Sorry someone else didn't get their game, but I won't use a service that values non-customers more than existing ones. It's why I won't touch most of the cellphone providers either.

Wait...so you were on Goozex and got sent a game, but then didn't send yours to the other person, and kept their game?

If that's correct that's theft. Hopefully, somebody gets in touch with your local authorities.

Nah, Goozex doesn't work like that, I'd never do that. Goozex works on a points system, where you get "points" for games you send out, and then use those "points" to order other games. I never bothered to send the first game ordered from me to get any points, since like I said, I just don't bother with businesses who don't put existing customers first. So no, I never took anyones game from them, as Goozex doesn't work in that fashion.

Hi contej85 -- you might want to check out our forums for member only prizes. There is a contest thread and already we have given out numerous prizes for various stuff.

you guys should run a promo for existing members. seems like all the promos you're doing is for new signups only. although the free trade in july was ok.

We run all types of contests on our forums. I just don't like to promote them here on the CAG forums out of respect. In the past month we've given away prizes to 20 members...

Out of curiosity, I'd love to know how many entrants there were for this contest. Since there were only 2 pages of people posting to say they'd entered, I had sort of gotten it in my head that the odds weren't half-bad. It didn't even occur to me that people could be entering without posting. Duh.
 
Thanks so much to goozex and to the kind words from other CAGs on this thread. I went ahead and requested some PS3 games while I'm waiting for the PS3 to come, thinking it would be a while before I got matched for them anyways, but manged to get matched for Resistance and Genji, but do not yet have the points. I sent Gitaroo Man out to someone about two weeks ago, but I haven't heard back from them or received feedback yet, so I'm worried it got lost in the mail, but I didn't use Delivery Confirmation, so I guess I'm screwed on that (never again will I not use Delivery Confirmation). I just sent two games worth 1150 points, and I just added a ton more (mostly original Xbox games), so hopefully I will be getting one of them soon. Aside from the Gitaroo Man trouble so far, I have really enjoyed Goozex so far. I just got my first game today, Guitar Hero 80's, and it even came sealed, a nice bonus.

EDIT: An update to the Gitaroo Man situation, turns out the guy was just on vacation, so everything worked out with that and he did get his game, so all is well.
