Hi,
I just recently had my ps3 died for the second time on me. the first time was about 5 months ago.
It was a 60 gig model and it was out of warranty (obviously)
I sent it to PSR1 (PSR1.com) and was charged $109 to get it fixed. Plus 20 in shipping.
So it was a pretty good deal in my opinion.
Just about a week ago it died on me again.
Since PSR1 only gave 90 days warranty, i had to get it fixed again.
i searched online and found videogame911.com, which supposedly would fix it for $50. (common yellow light issue)
I just got an email from them saying that it will cost 143 dollars to fix the motherboard.
Or, they would gladly purchase it for $60.

oh, and they would charge 45 dollars for the inspection and shipping if i want it back.
I guess my best course of action would be to sell it, and just get a new one.
This is where i ask for help.
I remember some time ago, sonystyle had 100 dollars off your first purchase when you get your sonystyle credit card. I looked online but can't really find it anymore.
Is there any deals for new ps3 purchases around?
