Hi -
I want to pick up one of these this weekend.
It seems like BB $5 off might be the option, but I am torn.
PS3 was my only choice until yesterday when I spoke to a BB staff member.
(I have not played a Godfather game...)
He mentioned the PS3 version appears to be (for the most part) PS2 version lightly enhanced...but the wii version has better control use and reviews...
So, I am looking for some advice on the best bargain and the best choice between the two....
Thanks!

If you have both systems I would get the PS3 version but don't just buy a PS3 for that game. Its not an enhanced PS2 version either. More of an enhanced Xbox version. The graphics are better and the amount of stuff to do has drastically increased. The only reason the reviews are better for the the Wii version is because the graphics look really good for Wii graphics. The only difference it the actions associated with the controller. The PS3 graphics are lacking for a PS3 game but are still better than the wii's obviously.

Thanks a bunch, Yes we are blessed with all three new consoles.
If the game is the same on wii and PS3, are the controls more fluent with the wii version? (remember I have not played any versions to date).

PS2 version was not so good but the Wii version actually makes it a lot of fun. PS3 versions graphics are better but still kind of bad for a PS3 game.

I'd say Wii but look at the screens and decide for yourself if graphics are that important to you as in every other respect they are the same game.
Don't buy it at all. Honestly, I played it for PS2 and it was crap.
A video game pasted on a 20 year old movie being crap?!?! Wow!

Godfather Wii and PS3 actually is much better. it taked all the bonus content from the Xbox 360 and adds even more stuff on to it.

Overall id say its like The Warriors. A good game that is very much based on the movie. If you like the movie you'll like the game.

PS3 version is kind of funny if you ask me but thats probably beacaue I played it after I played the Wii version. It just seemed stupid to me playing it with a controller. Very unintuitive and not fun in comparison.

I am going to rent the wii version first, I played the xbox version and I thought that it was awesome. I am intrested to see how the controls are on the wii

It taked?

Go with the Wii version. Fun game + fun controls = double fun

took. whatever.

Im actually playing through the warriors right now to finish it off. I stopped halfway through and never beat it. Good game. Plus I want to get at that Double Dragon Arcade game thats in there when you beat it.

Anyway I own Godfather Blackhand. Very fun. Throwing people, killing them, slaming them into things, shooting stuff. It all adds a lot to the game.

are the controls hard??

Hard? no. But on the other hand I was able to get every uber in SSX blur in about 40 minutes of practice and can now do them every time. Which means either im really good. (which im DEFINETLY not) or reviewers are to old to learn new controls.

I had no trouble learning the Wii controlls for Godfather. Its all very intuitive and I had no trouble.

Some games have hard buttom combinations. Hulk UD, Ninja Gaiden Black, Tekken, et al. But Godfather was great. on PS2 I had problems doing a lot of the stuff and it just wasnt very fun. I just waded through it for the story. On Wii I just love playing the game.

I picked it up immediatly in the first 10 minutes and didnt have to try again with any controls that you learn.
