Looking for a cheap, comfortable, reliable bluetooth headset for use with my PS3. I have one for my phone but it is incredibly uncomfortable so I figured I'd go right to the source for gaming information. Links are appreciated.

Thanks in advance CAGs!

I'm also curious what a good PS3 headset would be...wondering why they didn't package a default one in the system like they do with 360 headsets.

[quote name='killias2']I'm not positive, but I've heard good things about the official one.

I got the Official one myself, and love it... the main feature that makes it a bit nicer than the rest is the ps3 gives you a pop up with all the details of it *bat life, mic on/off, connected, etc* also now a days if you go around looking you can get the Socom/Warhawk bundles for next to nothing with 1 lol

I agree with this. Also, the cradle that it comes with for charging is really nice.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the useful feedback. I think I'll probably go the official route if it's really that much better, but finding it for around 30 seems to be hard. I briefly looked at those Socom/Warhawk bundles, but I didn't see any selling on what I would call the "cheap".

How close do you sit to your PS3? I ask because ANY USB wired headset will work on the PS3.

So no need to have one of those uncomfortable in-ear Bluetooth ones when a simple $10 headset will suffice.

This is VERY good to know. I would prefer an over ear dealy, and I have a few USB extension cords, so distance isn't as much of a problem. Sure, it's not as "pretty", but it'll work.

Thanks, I guess I really should have RTFM.

OP, if you have a few Walmarts around, you may want to go see if they still have any of the SOCOM headset bundles. Walmart dropped them to $19.96 a few months ago. I still see them every now and then when I go in there for that price. It comes with the official headset.

I got my Bluetooth ear piece with the EndWar bundle for about $23 at Target and sold the game for $11 to Amazon.

Thanks everybody, I wasn't able to find a SOCOM bundle unfortunately, but I did find a decent USB one that will work for the time being. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the bundle if I see it at my local Taget/Walmart.

Again, I really appreciate all the input.
