PS3 RSX/Memory might be Downgraded

Morpheus

CAGiversary!
Surprised this hasn't made it here yet, but a few sources are saying the RSX has been downgraded by 50mhz (500mhz) and memory the same (650mhz).

Thanks to GAF and the Inquirer for this info:

I don't know what Sony's been up to, but if this is true Sony really needs to stop cutting stuff out of the PS3 to help justify the expensive price of the console to the consumers. Lets hope the cell doesn't get downgraded.

The Inquirer...yeah, i never take them seriously, but as for the 50 Mhz, it wouldnt be much of a change for the games. The devs would have already known about it and this is likely a case of trying to keep the wattage, and thus, the heat, down. We'll have to wait and see, because i've been seeing and hearing rumors that there will be a slight upgrade to the Cell and RSX. Who knows, other than Sony and the Devs.
