Yesterday I went to the local Target (Wixom RD for those in MI) and the had a nice large screen and PS3 controller attached to the game case. I tried looking behind it to see if they had an actual system yet, and all I could see was some red glowing tubes (weird).

If anything, I got to test the PS3 controller for feel.... and I PERSONALLY dont like it, but then again ive never been a big fan of the dual shock (move the damn stick up!)

Same here, saw it at a local Target yesterday. Just saw the screen and a controller, no glwing tubes. I didn't like the controller either. The R2 and L2 felt WAY too springy. Controller felt a bit too light as well. I love how they put a Playstation logo button similar to the 360 button.. cripes.

Glowing tubes where behind the huge cardboard cover ups in the case. I think It may be the rack for the system itself, in which case, no system yet.

Ditto. I wont even get into the rumble: good or bad debate, but the weight missing due to thier exclusion hurts it IMO.

That button has been there since the beginning. Go look at the boomerang controller, the button is there.

I really wish they would have kept that controller design. Sure there would be a crap load of jokes to go along with it, but it would be insanely comfortable to play with.

I liked it too. I'm hoping a 3rd party company (madcatz, pelican, logitech, etc) will come out with a controller modeled like that.

amen to that. I was skeptical at first initially since it was always that way with dual shock, but after the xbox and xbox 360...... it's time for a change, especially for FPS' like say......... RESISTANCe

The sticks are perfectly fine where they've always been. The light weight of the controller takes a few minutes to get used to, but it's just fine.

They added the ballsack looking sticks on the thier updated snes pad design. That worked when you had a nice cross-section of 2d and 3d games. Now that most games are 3d, its kind of a pain in the ass.

I disagree, but that's too be expected.

Not only were the sticks misplaced on the DS2 for FPSes, but they were also way too tight. How do the SIXAXES sticks compare?

just got back from two Target locations, one of them has a working PS3, and the other was like unplugged.
