PSN+ free games ownership question

Max Spider X

CAGiversary!
The free games that come with Plus expire as soon as my membership expires. But while it's active, am I considered a legitimate owner of the title, or simply a "lessee"? In other words, am I entitled to adding the title  to my game collection list on CAG or IGN?

I honestly think Sony should reward gamers for long-time (say 1-2 years) Plus patronage by letting us keep certain titles after our membership has lapsed because there is only so many hours in a day to play while our instant game collection, and at the same time, our backlog keeps growing every week.

If you want to get really specific, you don't really 'own' anything digital that someone else controls.  It's really more licensed to you.  Even when you buy stuff off PSN/XBL marketplace there's nothing but a loose unspoken social agreement that these companies will do their best to keep these games available to you for as long as possible.  But there'll be a time, who knows when, that they shut off the servers and you won't be able to download The Cave to your PS3 whether or not your paid for it or got it from PS+.

All that said, embrace that fact and PS+ is awesome.
