Pac-Man Championship Edition Deluxe (DX) is fantastic.
Disgaea isn't the norm for SRPGs. In other SRPGs, you don't typically level to level 1000 so you can beat a demon overlord.

It's probably more standard -- long battles with significant time spent customizing and planning.
While I'm sure there will be plenty of grinding (there's a trophy for getting a character to level 500) the battles will not be long. I think people have the wrong idea about what kind of game Rainbow Moon is. It isn't like Final Fantasy Tactics or Disagaea, where you basically move from one battle map to another and battles take half an hour or more. It's more along the lines of Arc The Lad, where you have a traditional RPG structure, but getting into battles leads you to a grid-based battle map for that battle. The developers have said that the average battle lasts around three minutes, with boss battles lasting up to fifteen minutes.

Bought a $50 PSN card just in case I wanted to activate PS+ but the only item I actually want from the current offers is VF5, as I already own most of the other stuff either from PSN or Steam. $35 (effectively) for a year of surprise rentals after factoring for VF5; it's either that or a bunch of Rock Band DLC which I'm going to get anyway sooner than later if I pass on this and just get VF5 directly.

Why doesn't Microsoft have sales like this, and good deals for their gold subscribers? The past few years, I have preferred the 360, but now I am starting to prefer the ps3 because of awesome deals such as these. Anyone else in the same boat?
Picked up Megaman Hunter X. Couldnt it up for $5.

Wish I had picked up PowerStone Collection when it was on sale :(
I just picked up megaman x also. I hope I enjoy it. I got Powerstone collection last week and it is the best five bux I have ever spent. I wish you got in on that.

If this is true then I'm going to love this game... I love grid combat but HATE 15 min planning sessions on exactly what to equip and who to bring, etc. If I have to prepare 15 mins for a "surprise" boss fight ever again I'm going to lose it.

360 is a joke and it's disgustingly obvious. With the PS3 you pay for a year and get a bunch of free games, as well as free online gaming and access to VUDU, Netflix, etc.

With the 360 you pay yearly for the ability to play games online, them have access to services like VUDU and Netflix. Even after you pay you still have ads shoved down your throat on every page. It's atrocious and should be illegal.

Please add Zen Pinball to FREE PS+ list...I noticed the original $9.99 game is listed as a free game tonight when I went to download one of the add-on tables.

...it feels good to contribute to CAG instead of always taking like the cheap "blank."

Which makes me wonder...how many freebies are still in there that PSN does not list under the PS+ main discounts/freebies page?

It's not free. That's a bug that happens for some of the games you own that were also given away to PS+ members at some point.

Better act quick if you want VF5 for free, because it's getting rotated out of the free games collection when the Store update goes live today.
The 12 games were pretty much a special related to E3 to get people to try out PS+, especially since they gave everyone there in the press conference a free year.

But yeah, people shouldn't be expecting around 12 games each month. On average, I think we get about 3 per month if we're lucky, & that's still nice of them to do that.
Actually, we're keeping 12 free and rotating new titles in each month.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012...-to-playstation-plus-instant-game-collection/

The reply in post #11 states as much.

They used E3 as a chance to bring attention to PS+ and the new way they're handling free titles.

I didn't get in on either titles because I have them both on UMD, probably should. Wish Mega Man Powered Up would show up as a PSP download able title.

Come on local retailers, give me a discount on PS+ cards, especially the yearly subscriptions! My subscription is going to run out if next week's (the one after this July 3rd) update isn't worth it in my opinion.

I need some time to muster at least $18 and would prefer if I could get yearly subscriptions cheaper so I don't have to go through this every 3 months.

Holy crap!
European PS+ is killing ours in the US
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...olution-free-for-playstation-plus-subscribers

Orange-flavoured stealth shooter Deus Ex: Human Revolution is now available as a free download for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Human Revolution is the latest title in the ever-changing Instant Game Collection line-up, available to Plus members without any extra charge.

Plus people also get 50 per cent off of Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Missing Link DLC, Explosive Mission and Tactical Enhancement packs plus the original Deus Ex title for PlayStation 2.

Human Revolution, an 8GB download, replaces Virtua Fighter 5 in the Instant Game Collection line-up. Two more titles from the service's roster will be replaced on 18th July.

The regularly rotated freebies currently include Warhammer 40K: Space Marine and Chime Super Deluxe (until 18th July), Darksiders and Renegade Ops (until 15th August), plus Outland and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD (until 12th September).

Sony titles Infamous 2, MotorStorm Apocalypse and LittleBigPlanet 2 are meanwhile being offered free for the next year.

There's so many factors into the free ps plus games, you can't expect universal sales. You're essentially asking a publisher/dev to forgo most disc based sales for possibly a Sony stipend on a game that is still relevant to the marketplace. Perhaps companies are more reluctant to do that in a large territory like the U.S.

All those games and the only one I'm actually interested in is Outland. Maybe Darksiders but I'm sure I'll pick it up for $5 here soon.

So can anyone confirm that last month's titles are still available to DL? I was under the assumption that the titles would rotate every month, but if it's a library of free titles that they add to every month and I can choose from whatever I want whenever I want, I will definitely be joining.

Yes. I'm holding on to two 1 year XBL Gold subscriptions that I got for $30 from an Ebay daily deal. I was going to redeem them but now may just sell them since Xbox Live is loaded with advertisements and the best sales are usually open to all (See the current $5 Games on Demand sale).
Is it just me or does anybody else miss Qore?
Just you so far. I'm so cool Mohawk tattoo ruined it for me.

I just used my last 3 3month cards I got for $21 to extend myself till Dec 2013. After that I will not renew unless MS makes changes to their system. I just do not game online enough anymore to justify the expense.

I wouldn't mind Deus Ex Human Revolution to be released as a freebie for North America. I kind of want the disc version more, hopefully when it does arrive that the game saves will work with both digital and physical versions.

Already have Darksiders and Stranger's Wrath (original Xbox) in my backlog, so I'm fine if we don't get those.

Jessie Blaze Snyder.
Has there ever been a douchier guy with a douchier name?
"Hey guys, Jessie Blaaaaaaze here with another......"

Not only did I feel like punching him, I wanted to punch his birth certificate :D
Just you so far. I'm so cool Mohawk tattoo ruined it for me.
Well, I miss Veronica too, GT. I think I only saw one of the new Qores with the male host before my PS+ lapsed. Did Sony give a reason as to why they were cancelling Qore? The travel segments looked a bit expensive to make but the rest of the show was mostly free publicity for devs.

I tried experimenting with The Tester but I found that I couldn't watch more than the first few minutes without my eyes starting to bleed. It's like the worst of reality TV coupled with the lamest of gamer stereotypes.
Already have Stranger's Wrath (original Xbox) in my backlog, so I'm fine if we don't get those.
I had the chance to buy it from a store that was getting shut down but the fact that it's not one of the backwards compatible games drove me away from picking it up. My orginal Xbox had died back in 2006 and Microsoft wanted ~$150 to repair it. I ended up just having a relative sell it on Craigslist. I was kind of bummed since I had games in my backlog still that I would never be able to play.

I'm keen on picking up Stranger's Wrath but not if there's a chance we could get it for free.

Don't know if this is the right thread, but I just had a major problem with PSN. Bought Assassin's Creed 2 last june and today when I went to start it, I got an error saying it's expired. Then when I go to the PSN I can't even fucking download it (it's not in the download list but the DLC is).

Anyone else ever have this problem? I e-mailed sony but damn, I had an hour and a half free right now and I wanted to play AC II, lol.

Oh dude I had an absolute nightmare over this.
You bought the Deluxe Edition for $9.99 right?
And you have a blue shopping bag instead of red.

I went through Sony's email service first. I counted 9 back and forths with no result so I eventually called them.
What they eventually did after an hour on the phone was refund me the $9.99 for the game.
Unfortunately by the time this happened the game went back up to $19.99, so I called them again.
A good hour later I convinced them to give me a $10 credit so I could buy it again, as it wasn't my fault the game never showed up but the DlC did.

Then I look at my transaction history and what have they done?
Taken away my Armageddon Riders! They used that as the $10 credit!
So another hour long phone call and the guy was trying to tell me I was trying to rip them off.
I asked to given someone new to talk to, and about 30 minutes it was all cleared up. They gave me a $30 credit to go buy everything again.

Major PITA. Hope your experience is more streamlined than mine.

PS I had pretty much finished Armageddon Riders at that point so I put $10 out of the $30 on a new game. Haha.

Yeah I bought the Deluxe Edition for $9.99. This sounds horrible, and well I don't want to deal with all the aggravation if it comes down to $10 credit. I will just go buy ACII used at gamestop or some shit. It says I have the DLC so it's somewhat of a win. We will see when Sony replies back.

Good luck. I'm sure I wasn't the only one this happened to at the time, so it might be a well known problem they're now aware of. Keep emailing. Takes much less time than calling.

I am just going to start looking for deals on a Disc Version. I started by saying hey I can't access the game, here is the transaction number for the account that purchased the game.

Next response is hey sign into your PSN account to see which account has bought the game because it should be in my downloads list. I only have one account for the US PSN Store. It's going to be a long day .

Sorry to hear about that; I picked it up during the 9.99 sale too but never had any problems with downloading it. I had problems with some the aggravating-as-hell Venice missions.

The free Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is up now. I had to search for it, but it was free. The other two games might be free too, but I didn't check.

Just started downloading free Gotham City Impostors, I'd love to play with some CAGs if youre all down? My psn is SpaceSpaceSpace if you'd like to try the game out together.

You shouldve downloaded the demo last night, and just downloaded the unlock key today.
Btw you still have 540MB of patches to download and install on boot up.

Everything is up too.
That has to be the shortest timeive spent in the store at the start of a month.
Boo...

Did you try going to the PSN Store and going to PS3 Full Games? This is how I download it, going to the download list is a little weird. It should be listed under AC2 Deluxe Edition.

Might like to but I'm having to be stingy with my HD space because unlike many other CAGs, I had to delay my upgrade and I'm hovering around 10 Gb free on my 120 Gb drive.

Free is a powerful incentive for me to experiment with this game, though, as I've not seen it on a tempting pricepoint--I usually avoid multiplayer shooters but I love almost anything Batman (except Batman and Robin and Batman-themed platform games).
If you want free trophies for your Vita, The Treasures of Montezuma Blitz just got an update that has a lot of tweaks along with adding trophies.
WOW, they really changed a lot of stuff around. I thought this was a decent free game (I'd play it if I had nothing else to do), but now I've got some motivation to go back & play it again, especially trophies (got 3 of them from just playing one game w/o even looking at the list). Thankfully, it seems that I still earned some from playing before the update.

& downloading Pac-Man CE DX as well.

Any recommendations for Jurassic Park at the discounted price? My childhood nostalgia for the series is making me kind of overlook the mediocre reviews..
