Thanks for the confirmation, I'll be grabbing them tonight then.
Looking forward to Terraria + new content, just worried about the controls since I've always heard that the KB+M is better for the PC version. I hope they're good on PS3..
looking forward to Terraria as well, I too am worried about how the game will handle with the ps3 controller, the exploration, combat and digging part should play ok I guess but managing the inventory and building elements, especially block placement will pain in the ass with a controller.

GameSpot has a gameplay video with the XBLA version that looks like it controls just fine.
If the PS Store runs slowly as it is, would trying to watch this app through the PS Store be even worse? Just curious here as I wont ever use crackle, but others might and the PS Store is still slow to me.
It streams fine for me. If you have good enough internet to stream videos, it'll work fine.

It's not an app, as the videos that are free on Crackle are just free to watch, ad-supported, directly for the PS Store now.

thanks for the vid, those manual controls look manageable also they added a map of the game world which is a nice feature, the pc version didn't have that last time I played it
Well fuck,I just bought this on the PS3. I'd rather have this on the Vita.
your telling me so far I have bought the game on steam and psn, still worth it though the game is great and will definitely get the Vita version as well. Unless we get some sort of PS+ discount I don't see myself getting it at launch though, I will probably just wait until it goes on sale.
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/03/22/new-on-music-unlimited-and-video-unlimited-42/

They've integrated Crackle into the PS Store so you can just start watching the free movies and TV shows directly from the PS Store.
Crackle has a few gems mixed in with a bunch of other stuff most people won't care about. The ads aren't too obtrusive, but they do repeat the same ones often. Personally, I love Newsradio and Seinfeld episodes which you can't see either of on Netflix or Amazon (at least for free).

I'm still hoping they will release a Vita app. Is there any clarification on whether you can see Crackle shows from the Vita PSN store? I am assuming not, but the blog post doesn't specifically state PS3 only.
Ducktales HD coming this summer to XBLA, PSN, & Wii U eShop, being developed with WayForward.
Holy fucking glorious shit!! Awesome whoo hoo!

Man loving this everyday VITA news. Glad more and more stuff is coming. I'm in the same boat with The Walking Dead, just bought it on PS3 and played through episode 1 already, but maybe I'll double dip and play through it a 2nd time on Vita.

Was worried about Duck Tales being done by WayForward because I haven't connected with most of their games but I have to say it looks pretty great. Digging the Paper Mario-esque look to the visuals. Looks like the gameplay is pretty faithful as well.

Full details on the Capcom PSN/XBLA/Wii U announcements:
Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, ended its panel at the PAX East convention today with the announcement that three titles from its revered catalogue - DuckTales , Dungeons & Dragons®: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons®: Shadow over Mystara - are making a welcome return on multiple platforms in the coming months. Originally released in 1989 on the Nintendo Entertainment System, DuckTales was widely acknowledged as one of that generation’s seminal platform titles. Taking its cue from the Disney cartoon series of the same name, DuckTales Remastered follows the adventures of Scrooge McDuck as he explores differently themed worlds to collect their treasures and become the world’s richest duck.

DuckTales Remastered has seen the development team take the levels and layout from the original 1989 release as a foundation before expanding upon them to significantly enhance the gameplay experience but where this update truly impresses is its graphics and sound. All of the visuals from the 8-bit game have been beautifully re-created as hand-drawn and animated sprites, across a backdrop of luscious, re-envisioned level backgrounds. Furthermore, original Disney Character Voices talent, including some from the cartoon TV series, bring in-game characters to life with charm and wit, while the classic melodies of the original soundtrack are given a modern twist.

Further additions to the original include an all new tutorial level where players can get familiar with the iconic pogo jump and cane swing; while Scrooge McDuck’s Museum allows players to track all their stats and compare their progress with others via global leaderboards.

A Disney Interactive licensed property, DuckTales Remastered is being developed for Capcom by WayForward and is scheduled for release digitally on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Wii U™ this summer.

As the first modern role playing game, the Dungeons & Dragons franchise from Wizards of the Coast gave birth to numerous products including two arcade titles from Capcom, Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and its sequel Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara. Both these titles are now being re-released with updated HD graphics and a wealth of other enhancements as a definitive double pack entitled Dungeons & Dragons ®: Chronicles of Mystara™. Scheduled for release digitally on PlayStation 3, Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC in June, the title is being developed for Capcom by Iron Galaxy and will be priced at $14.99/€14.99/£11.99/1200 MSP.

Just as in the arcades, up to four players will select their character class before doing battle against the mythical beasts from the Dungeons & Dragons’ universe with a mix of melee, range and magic attacks. But now, thanks to GGPO, there’s no need to jostle for position around a cabinet as Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara offers seamless drop-in/drop-out online gameplay in one of two modes. In addition to the classic arcade mode with its branching paths and multiple endings, players can utilize the all new House Rules feature and customize gameplay for a completely different experience.

The new extras don’t stop there. The Character Visualizer lets players track which characters they and their friends use most often and can help create a more balanced multiplayer dungeon party, or point out which characters are most under-used; with further gameplay stats tracked via a global leaderboard. Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara also includes a Challenge system that sets players in-game goals in return for level-ups and coins which can be spent in the Vault: a treasure trove of unlockables and gameplay loot. Finally, owners of the Wii U version will be able to use the GamePad touch screen to select spells and items with ease, allowing for a more streamlined gameplay experience.

Nice, can't wait to pick that up, especially if they include the original version in case the HD remix ends up poorly. If Ducktales sells well maybe they'll finally get back to finishing releasing the rest of the fucking series on DVD. Speaking of which, the three released volumes of Ducktales recently hit a low price of $8.99 each on Amazon, that's a little under $27 for 75 episodes.

So this is the day the music died?
Actually, it was confirmed that that was THE last song they will ever release as DLC.
Fixed just for you.

It's depressing that after 280+ weeks of releasing three or more songs a week that they go out on a whimper with only one song even if it's a good song.

Even if it's just one song, it's the most fitting final song I can think of.

Ducktales is great news too, but I'm practically giddy about the Dungeons and Dragons Collection coming out (in HD no less) on PSN/XBL. Back during the Sega Saturn / PS1 days, Capcom was going to release this collection for both systems (supposedly both in Japan and in the US).

After a long period of silence, I eventually found out that they were not going to release either version in the US, and that the PS1 simply couldn't run it well enough, so they never released that version at all. In other words, the only way to get a home version was an imported Saturn copy with a 4MB ram card. On several occaisions, I've almost plopped the $150+ down for the game. Obviously, I'm glad I never did (even if I did have to wait 14 years for the game).
I have no nostalgia for DuckTales, so the only way I'll play it is if it's free for PS+ like Double Dragon Neon.
Okay so if we are going to have a remastered Ducktales, can Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers be far behind? I liked Ducktales, but I remember Rescue Rangers more fondly. Not sure why. It was over 20 years ago!

I 2nd what Frisky said. Free is for me.

^Crysis 1? There's a lot of those codes floating around the trade threads. This guy is selling his for $6.

I guess that really doesn't answer your question though. I think it's only been on sale twice, I think both times were for $10. Not positive on either though, I just picked it up the first time it was $10 for PS+.

Online co-op Chip and Dale would be amazing. I would love to be able to play online co-op with my sister who lives 200 miles away, it would almost be as fun as it was 20 years ago, except you can't take the controller away when the other person is being jerk and picking you up and throwing you all the time.

So what do you guys think of DOA+ for the VITA? I really want it but it is 2.5GB! I want to buy it physically for like $30 hopefully soon.

On another note is anyone interested in playing Wipeout the co-op campaign?

Thanks for the link. I dont know why I never thought about checking if any CAG has it for sale. Thanks brother!

I managed to watch a Crackle movie through the PS Store and it worked out well. I don't know if the 20 minute break I had it on was the cause, but I had no commercial breaks for the last hour or so. It just stopped, loaded up nothing for a second or two, and then resumed the movie. The one issue that I did have was that the pause screen, that shows you the timeline with all of the spots where ad breaks will be, stays on screen for a while before it disappears after resuming the movie.

I noticed that Crackle has an original series of its own called Chosen starring Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli from Heroes) that has an interesting premise at least.

Debating whether I should get the physical or PSN version of P4G since they're the same price. On one hand, digital would eat in to my already limited memory, but that 29.99 would go towards another $50 spent on PSN this month. Buying the cartridge would obviously allow me to save on memory card space and potentially resell (though I doubt I would), but I really was beginning to warm up to the idea of having all my games accessible at all times. Decisions...

DOA5+ is 23 pounds at game.com.uk. Hopefully they will have a coupon for cheap shipping soon because I am ready to pay full price for the game.

Nun Attack update --

absolutely falls apart under it's own weight by the end. by choosing to go faster paced, by the end you need to stack your nuns just for healing to work, which means all you're doing is swiping the hell out of the screen, no strat. and for the final few stages, i just skipped everything i could, and used my 'kill everything' miracle to keep clearing the screen (i could afford like 100 of them). that plus the reincarnate miracle beat the game.

i'm actually really glad i thought of that because there were so many monsters using the miracles was MUCH faster.

anyway, it's still an easy 100% trophy time waster for $3. and for awhile, it's almost a fun battleheart clone. but... it's definitely not as well thought out, and it shows.

if you want a 5 minute bus ride arcade game, go for it. else skip.
If you click the link, it talks about the sequel which you have not bought on your ps3.
The link says absolutely nothing about a Walking Dead sequel, just the Vita version, which is the same game released on the other consoles.

I have the PS3 version and got it on Vita as well. Game is very similar to PS3 version, which means it's great.

Game runs great on the Vita, graphics are excellent for the handheld, and online play is smooth. Highly recommended.

I watched some films through Crackle a while ago (a year or so I think) using my roku and it worked out pretty well. I haven't done it through the PS3 yet though and was wondering how the experience was so thanks for posting.
