second dumbest thing I've ever done: trade PSO 1+2 for Super monkey ball 2

unfortnatly punq, just the announcement of the rerelease has slahed it's value in half.

damn, i didnt even hear about that, when was it announced?

i sold this copy on ebay a week ago to a npb (big shock)

Sorry to kill this thread but PSO 1+2 plus is coming out this fall and includes that game and a bunch of bonuse stuff. It will retail for $29.99.
Despite the fact that they are rereleasing it, PSO 1+2 will stay high because of the *cough* other games *cough* you can play with it.
yes, I'm certain Nintendo will make sure this is fixed in the new version, so the price of original copies will likely stay the same, or go up.

I traded mine for a mint Third Strike. I do not feel near as bad as you, even though myy Third Strike was stolen.

anyways, free bump for Punq. This is a really good price compared to what eBay wants for them

I second that question. What's this about *cough* other games *cough*?

I"m thirding the question.

Apparently you can take advantage of the fact that it connects to the internet and somehow hook it up to play bootlegs or something along those lines.

They will not issue access codes, or re do acct codes, if the game doesnt come with one, you need to return it for another game that has one.

From what punq posted in his first post, it seems like it comes with unused codes.

I dunno about that. I'm sure Sega will fix the glitch or whatever that allowed it, but given the small amount of broadband adapters that are out there I don't anyone sees it as such a serious problem. Also, I think the reason the game was so pricey was the rarity of it. If anything it will likely stay high for collector reasons as opposed to this problem.

I can't agree with the notion that the re-release will go unpatched. The big N is known to try to thwart piracy at all turns, such as the mini-dvds being used so that copying/burning them and running them on an actual GC console is impossible(to the best of my knowledge; I'm no piracy guru).

As for the price?
I think it'll stay high/er than the re-release simply because of the ability to play games through the broadband adapter with PSO(And a few programs).

I don't think this game is rare at all. I see it everytime I go to Toys R Us. Its worth comes solely for its piracy potential.

I have my copy still mint condition and unplayed online. I wonder whether I should sell it on ebay or keep it because it has "high worth". Hrm...

i might pick up the re-release for multiplayer. i never really played this copy more than a few times, and never online, dont have a bba, and i got it used so i figured time to cash in before the bubble bursts!

the reason I asked was EBgames.com has copies, but they do not come with access codes. It is stupid on SEGA's part not to issue new codes

I just sold a copy the other day on eBay, luckily my highest bidder paid, and top dollar too. I was getting rid of it for a friend who just wanted PSO 1&2 Plus, I didn't expect to make enough money from the sale to buy PSO 1&2+ for both of us.

Man, I need to unload my PSO ep. 1&2. Don't care enough about playing bootlegs (or whatever) nor having the game when Plus hits.

Ah, true, true.

Is their used price cheaper than a new copy of plus? Or are you looking to get the original for it's "benefits"?
