Hold your horses~ The 8gb Memory STick is being released soon... That means the other sizes will drop shortly afterwards. Just give it some time and a deal will show up.
 
Does anyone know where I can get a 1 gb for around $20-25 B&M this weekend?

I might order one off Outpost but I hate rebates, I'll probably be at a new apartment by the time that rebate check ever comes....
 
If you're willing to use ebay, the 4GB sticks are all over it and tend to end around 45 dollars. Cheaper than buying a stick on any other site, but I know how much people hate ebay.

A lot of people will refuse to buy them on eBay because of the possibilty of fraud. Its pretty hard to detect them in some cases and it could be any where from 10-33% off all sticks on eBay are bootleg knockoff garbage.

Actually the 1 G Pro Duo is only $14.99 in the Colorado ad starting today.

I read an article right off of Ebay's site stating that 98% of the memory sticks sold are frauds. I wouldn't even buy them if the seller originated in N. America, as I already did that and got a fake 4gb that didn't even work. Luckily I got a refund, but that 98% statistic came right off of Ebay itself, and they included a likn of sellers that they verified as selling legit memory sticks. I don't remember the link to the page, but if I find it, I'll post it later.

If you look at the ad, it LOOKS like it is also $14.99 but if you check the prices next to each item it is $19.99. Got me too for a second.

It says something like save $30 and lists the normal prices too. It says $49.99 reg next to the pro duo at Staples making it $19.99, though maybe they sell it for $44.99 in your area.

Very easy mistake, I'm sure they set it up to "trick" people like this as well.
 
Wow! Ebay says they can't even police their own auction site! How awesome and secure does that make me feel?
