Hopefully some new boxers, and multiplayer with Wii speaks news that is forthcoming

See, games that offer graphics like this make the Wii shine. It's when they try and go the 360/PS3 route (again just graphics) is when they fail.

I'm really liking the way this looks.
I am becoming a Wii supporter again

Am I the only one kinda doesn't want motion controls unless it really accurate, which it probably won't unless you have that WiiMotionPlus or a motion board?

I'm pretty sure no information on controls is out yet. I would like the Wii motion plus but I'm not so sure about the balance board. Maybe for a special mode but not required.

the controls for the game was originally simple... even with the current controller i think it could handle it fairly well. i mean all they really need is a simple shake or something on the wiimote and nunchuck to stimulate left or right jab and maybe hold down a or b for uppercuts. i wont go into defense but that could be fairly simple aswell.
Little Mac's portrait looks a little... um... black.
I wanted to link to the thread where someone was surprised that CheapyD wasn't black because his portrait looked a little dark, but it appears to have been baleeted.

Also, no response to Guybrush Threepwood? That fast connection aint helpin' yer cred, boy.

punch out looks great and i was really looking forward to a remake... but for some reason, this seems more like a wiiware title to me.

Cant wait... They better have more characters and not a staright remake. C'mon N do something with this one... surprise us and throw in Tyson again!

It's Von Kaiser! Quick Mac, give him zee uppercut! ZEE UPPERCUT!
Haha, I was going to track down the video and link to it.

GIVE HEEM ZEE UPPERCUT!

I think Mike Tyson would probably want to much money. The guy is more then a little crazy these days you know. Still more characters would be great. Hell i'd download characters and pay $3 for them or something if they make some after launch.

Man. That is still one of the most hilarious videos I've ever seen.

They should seriously make a full-length movie.

If is a remake then it should be wiiware. I can't pay $50 for this. :booty:I hope we could play as different characters this time around.

What about throwing in the Super Punch-Out characters?
Looks great.
So this is a remake, yeah? (Not complaining! Just asking!)
I hope it's not just a remake - I love the game to death and, provided the controls work, I'd probably buy it either way, but it's been so long since the last game in the series that I'd hope they've come up with SOMETHING new since the SNES era. It's hard to tell from the video (and I'd bet they picked Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, and King Hippo just for nostalgia's sake), but if this is a full-on retail title I'm hoping it'll be just a little more complex than the NES version was.

Glad to see someone else saw that. They changed Little Mac from a Rocky type character who was probably Italian to a Black guy.

Watch the new trailer. He's definetly black now.

It's right at the top in the Main Post.

Meh, still looks fairly Itallian, but possibly Latin.

His actual character model could be a few things, but his portrait absolutely makes him look like a black guy.

So unless he gets a new trainer, I can't make any jokes about "the cookie".

I see what you are saying on his portrait, but he is still rocking the wavy black hair which is more Itallian than anything.

That being said, its a minor point. Game looks fun.
Mac looks fuckin sexy in that video.
Why settle for Little Mac when you got Big Mac right here!?

Anyway this is looking awesome as the gameplay looks the same. Just hearing the music again is great. Let's just hope all the racist stereotypes return with a whole bunch more! They touched a lot of countries already but I'll wager on a new character with an Afro and some sort of Hispanic guy. Doc better be around, as well as Mario or an Italian resembling him as ref.

This needs multiplayer for sure. With the roster of colorful characters it would be nice to finally put Don Flamenco against Soda/Vodka. Oh if Vodka Drunkinski made it stateside it would be glorious!

Interesting. It's being developed by Next Level Games, the developers of the Mario Strikers series.

I just went into my NES collection and I still have Mike Tyson's Punchout. Boy I can't wait till this Wii version is released. This is what Wii fans were looking for at E3. Well I'd say better late than never Nintendo.
If they mess this one up I am dumping Nintendo.
Dump them now, one game wont make or break your experience. Cut your losses and play something you will actually like.

So this game be a lot of fun except they will throw in some stupid POWER PUNCHES thing where it does into mini-game mode?
