Is there any decent (perferrably free) conversion program that will convert a VOB file to a WMV file? Or does anyone know if Windows Media player 10 can convert VOB files?
I'm curious because I'm choosing at the moment between a used ipod video (30gb) for $150 or an older but brand new and bigger screened Samsung PMC player (only 20gb) for $120. I'm at a loss on which to choose and they are the cheapest PVPs I've encountered but both seemingly have tight restrictions on video format playback. I've figured out a rather easy way to convert VOB to mp4v files, but WMV still eludes me... Any advice like always is appreciated!
edit: I don't wish to discuss anything illegal on CAG, so no discussions on breaking copy protection please, (I don't need that part anyways...), but if the mods feel this too hot to touch so to speak feel free to close it down. Thanks.
