Quesion about game transfer between 3ds and 3dxl

Hello guys im trying to know if i buy a 3dsxl version whit mario kart 7 .can i transfer the free game to my friends whit 3ds? , to play all the same game .
 
Transferring between 3DSs will erase everything on the old 3DS (essentially a factory reset) and replace whatever is on the new 3DS (meaning any games or setting adjustments already on there will be deleted). All save data on transferred games is deleted too.Unfortunately, you simply can't swap games like you can save data on a memory card.
 
I just did this last night. Account seemed to transfer fine as did the few dsiware games but I had to re-download all of my VC and 3DSware games. That wasn't fun...but it's done. I also lost my Mutant Mudds save. Ugh.
 
I can confirm if you do a system transfer from 3DS to 3DS XL w/mario kart, you just have to redownload mario kart after the transfer is done.
 
OP if you do the system transfer you are basically giving your friend the copy of MK7 on your 3DS.

You will lose the copy on your 3DS after you system transfer.

I wouldn't recommend doing this as it seems like you want both you and your friend to have a copy...
