Butchered
CAG Veteran
I'll give a bit of history. I was moving my 360 the other day to another room and when I booted it up to play a game (the one that was in there when I moved it) the game wouldn't read. I took it out and it had the circle scratch on it that the 360s cause.
This game wouldn't read but I had no issues loading any other games so I just figured I was screwed out of the game. Earlier this week, I got two games from Gamefly. I played one, no issues loading whatsoever. Finished it up, put in the other game and had a hard time getting the game to load. It actually booted and went to the loading screen and whatnot, it just wouldn't actually progress. I'd open and close the tray a few times and then it started to give me the unreadable disc error, telling me to clean the disc and try again.
Now when I try to play games, they will always load but during playing or during the loading, I can hear the drive quiet down and then a few seconds later it tells me the disc is unreadable. I can't even really install games because it also stops after about 3% and says the disc can't be read.
So my question is, does this sound like I just need to clean up my lens or do I need to start buttering up the lady so I can get a new one? This is a 360 Arcade I bought in Feb of 09 if that matters any. I cleared my cache and removed my HD like the website says but nothing helped.
