Question about Composite Connection!

CAGiversary!
Hey, CAGs. So I just bought the official Sony Composite Cables for the new PSP SLIM. Everything works fine and looks great, but the display only takes up about 2/3s of the damn screen!

Anyone know a way to change this?

I realize that maybe they didn't want to stretch it too much, but come on,...they stretched it from a PSP screen to a tv, right?

If it matters, it's hooked up to a SHARP 32' LCD HDTV

Thanks, CAGs!

Does this happen when playing a game? IIRC, the screen size you see is the only option when playing a game- there is a black border around the whole screen. If you watch movies, however, the picture takes up the whole screen.

Don't ask me why- probably something to do with maintaining readability by not over-stretching the picture.

The PSP will only output it's native resolution for games (480x272). The PSP will not scale the image at all during gameplay. So unless you use your TV's zoom options, you're going to have a black frame around the picture.

Even if you zoom it, it's not going to look great since it's a lower resolution.

Daaaaaaamn, that sucks!

Well, thanks guys, that completely answered my question!

I guess it's still worth the $20...

BTW…I think your title is incorrect. The PSP composite cables don’t output videogames. I’m assuming you have the component cables.
