Question about music purchased on PSN

So, I know how relatively easy it is to put mp3s from a USB drive on to the PS3, but does Sony allow the reverse?

I want to buy the Shatter soundtrack from the PSN store, but I was wondering if I'll be able to transfer it off the PS3, or if it's locked to the console.

Makes more sense to purchase it elsewhere, then put it on the PS3 tbh

You're right, but it's $5.99 on PSN and comes with a dynamic theme. $9.99 elsewhere just for the music.

i guess that makes sense, but since you can gameshare on the PS3, you could conceivably get 30 worth of games for just $6 /

yeah, you should be able to transfer.

a friend and I split the cost for heavy rain ost. he bought it off his system, then let me borrow his usb with the music in it and I was able to easily put it on my computer.

there's no lock on music!

I got the soundtrack, it installs in your game folder. After opening it, you have the option to install the music, dynamic theme, and concept art. I deleted the file after that. From my music folder, it was easy to copy the tracks to a USB drive.
