Question about PSP memory sticks...

Swanton

CAGiversary!
What is the reason that memory stick pro's can not be used with the PSP (they have to be pro DUO's)....? Besides the size of it.... why else can't it be used? ~~technical stuff~~

I think its basicly the size.. there are adapters you can buy to make it work with the psp but it would not look pretty sticking out.

very good question. as far as being the size, i'm sure there's another reason. i think the way in which they're formatted. i hope one of us can shed more light to this very good question.

Do you know where to go to get one of these adapters (websites or stores)?

http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/146/62/ has some nice information about an adapter. On the page, there is a link to a website where you can buy one for about $30. I read the page and it seemes like a lot of trouble getting the adapter to fit in the PSP (since it is actually for a phone) and getting it to work and all. If I wait long enough, Sony or hopefully SanDisk might come up with larger capacity memory stick duo's. Then if I wait for another very long time, I can actually afford one of them....

So is it that it is too long (sticks out of the PSP) or that it is too wide (won't fit into the PSP)?

If it just sticks out, that is no problem... Cover it up with something hard so it wont get smashed in half...

i bet this guy came from gamefaqs board unfortuantely

I don't even know what that is.

I am selling my PSP unless the memory stick pro fits in it. But it does not, so I will most likely sell my PSP.

I can see everyone is getting annoyed by me AND my stupid self, so whoever deletes these things can delete any of my threads whenever...
