Question about the playstation 3

Sorry if this is the wrong forum and thanks in advance for your information. I am thinking of getting a ps3 this weekend and have 2 questions. First of all will it play regular dvd's that i already have or only blue-ray? Second is the online free and is there many people online yet?

Yes, the online is free.

Yes, there are several hundred thousand people on the Playstation Network. Although not nearly as many as on Xbox Live.

The online is free for the most part. Developers are allowed to charge fees for playing online. For instance, Tekken 5 costs $10 to play online.
