Question about the slim and x-41 headset

Does the slim have an optical input/output? If so could you use it to run the optical to the X41 receiver, thus eliminating the need to have to use component cables and now being able to use HDMI to the TV? Currently I have to use component cables when using the X-41

It does have an optical output so you will be good to go.

This doesn't apply to you but in case anyone wonders, I have an X31 so that's not useful for me but I was able to use my old cables to connect RCAs like before.
