Question about trading in games to EB or Gamestop

I have some games that have quite a few scratches on them. They were all former rental games, some of which are in original cases some of which are not (but complete).

If a game is really scratched up but still works, will Gamestop or EB accept them and are the rental cases ok to use to trade in?

I know that trading in won't get me the most money but I don't want to sell them on eBay and take a chance on having to issue a refund or getting negative feedback because the buyer wasn't satisifed with the condition of the games.

Same here! My gamestop is very picky about the condition of games you trade in.

But they'll still charge $45 for a Halo 2 that is disk only and scratched to hell...

Ok thanks for the info, it sounds like I might be better of trading the games in at EB then since it sounds like Gamestop might be a little more strict.

I wouldn't worry about minor scratchs. You should only have a problem if they look like you played floor hockey with them. Go to whoever gives you the best price.
