Rakuten Buy.com?

Just stumbled upon this site today. Anyone know anything about it?

They have The Last Guardian (haha) for preorder for $44.10, so don't know what that's about. They also have release date listed as 2/14. I know the release date isn't, but is the preorder itself legit?

Buy.com is legit and they're one of the biggest sellers on Ebay. And like Amazon they allow third party sellers to sell on their own site, so, buyer beware when ordering from them. I've been buying random stuff directly from them for years and and have never had a problem.

Rakuten is bigger than Amazon in Japan.

Buy.com has been around for years and are without a doubt legit. I hadn't visited the site for a while but I also noticed that Rakuten logo, and after some research, I found out that Buy.com was bought out by Japanese company Rakuten. So essentially from now on when you go to Buy.com, you also see the logo of their parent company. This is mostly likely because, as detectiveconan alluded to, the Rakuten brand has a bigger global appeal.

Rakuten also owns the UK store Play.com. But the particular listing the OP linked to is not sold by buy.com. It is "Ships from/sold by Bostic Outfitters" which is a third party seller.
