Certainly is a helper for anyone who wants the movie.

I had it preordered, and they sent me a different e-mail.

Dear Amazon.com Customer,

We recently lowered the price on an item you purchased: "Rango (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy)" or "Rango DVD." Because we want you to benefit from the new price, we're giving you a $5 credit toward any future purchase at Amazon.com.

Use this code at checkout, and the discount(s) will apply. This code can be used only once. Offer ends on July 23, 2011. Restrictions apply; see below for details.

I hadn't had it pre-ordered so maybe that's why you just got the credit? Maybe they are doing that so people don't have to cancel and reorder stuff so much to receive newer/better promos. That would be nice to say the least.

Can you use the code, cancel, and reorder? Or even better use the code towards another Rango with coupon and then cancel the original order.

i thought about that first scenario, but i think i'm gonna wait and see how it works out for someone else before i try it. the second scenario, i would not want to try at all because that would just be too obvious as to what's been done, i would think. then again it would depend on if the $5 credit has any sort of note attached to it or something. it takes $5 off anything i put in my cart, so it appears to be just general credit. i'm still gonna wait it out though, someone will try it here or on blu-ray forum and post about it.

I've learned that the bigger risks you take more often than not get you the better deal. At least that has been my personal experience. Good luck!

Looks like the coupon code's now listed on the product page itself. (Still have to enter the code at checkout. It's not one of the Amazon coupons that you click to "clip.")

same here. though the code they sent me says "invalid". Tried customer chat but didn't get the sharpest tool in the shed. Will try again to get my order down to $14.99[quote name='laundrymatt']I had it preordered, and they sent me a different e-mail.
