REAL LIFE GAMING CELEBRITY - SPOTTED!

AnthonyRoundtree

CAGiversary!
So I was just walking down the street (NYC) near Gramercy Park and 21st street on my way to get some cheapass pizza when, suddenly, around the corner of the park walks an unsuspecting man wearing sunglasses and (i swear to god) a Green and White windbreaker jumpsuit.

I slowed down as i crossed his path and as soon as we were walking by eachother, I realized who i was looking at.... IT WAS JOHN LEGUIZAMO!

Dont get me wrong... i think he's a brilliant actor... but.. looking at this man did not make me recall his talented acting skills seen in films like Summer of Sam, Empire, or Romeo and Juliet....

No... not even his largely overlooked FOX sketch comedy show House of Buggin came to mind at the time....

and as a fan of the Rayman franchise... his voicework in Rayman 3 didnt even make me want to say anything about that....

but... as i walked past him.... there was only one phrase that could come to mind...
something just to let him know that I knew who he was...
and behind his GREEN AND WHITE JUMPSUIT....
i could never forgive him for ruining something dear to me.....

As soon as I past him... I turned around and yelled the name.... "LUIGI MARIO!"

I swear to god.... he ducked into his shoulders and looked back as he kept walking and I stood at the corner... shaking my head at him....

and for that moment....
briefly before he continued on his way....
i knew.... by looking at him... at the way he reacted when I said those words... i knew... that he was sorry.

the end.
Almost beats the time I met Keanu Reeves at a mexican resturant after he downed half a dozen ritas.
i don't think anything could beat the story of how, in a drunken stupor, you let Keaunu jacked into your Matrix.
If it's true, that's an amazing story. Even if it's not, though, it was still somewhat entertaining. Good job. :)
i wouldnt make that crap up.

apparently he's dating some chick in the neighborhood...
GramercyPark is full of celebs... Janeane Garofalo, Julia Roberts... I even saw Blanche from the Golden Girls around there...

it is what it is.

but no... i have no pictures...
it happened... and i thought i'd share it.

I met Mike Tyson at a Baskin Robbins in Cleveland Ohio years ago; This was before the rape conviction and during happier times.

He was signing everones autographs. I was shocked to see that I was taller than he was (I am 6 feet tall).

Thats my celebrity story.

John has been great in more than a few films, but his terrible jobs in plenty of others is what hinders his career.

the naysayers should check out his first live stage one-man show called"Freak" brilliantly done and brought a tear to my eye more than a few times.......also will make you piss your pants in parts!

I've met plenty of celebrities in my life, mainly in an upscale market I used to work at that is completely unheard of outside of the state of RI

Tim Daly, George Harrison,etc,etc

george harrison was likely visiting his daughter at Brown U

I have only had the chance to converse with Usher at a rest-stop in Indiana. Also, I met Heinz Ward and Media Play at Ross Park Mall when the store was "Closed" for him only to walk around in peace. The only problem was, the idiots didn't lock the back door.
what has happened to NYC's original monthly video game event?
last month it melded with the eNerGy Festival before Thanksgiving...

i'll be ready to divulge more this weekend!

rest assured... GNG is still alive!
(next week s for the 21+ crowd... so... yeah. BUT more on this soon!)
