Repair Scratched Dvd

I'm trying to watch Chrono Crusade (anime dvd), which I rented from rentanime.com but the dvd is really scratched up. I can't get past the first episode. What are my options to repair the dvd (without disk doctor)?

First of all, wrong forum.

Secondly, you just MIGHT want to contact customer service for rentanime.com. I'm sure they have a protocol in place for just this sort of situation.
