Repaying for a preorder with credit on Gamestop.com?

Got a strange situation I was looking for help on.

During that crazy rush of deals two weeks ago I preordered a good bit of stuff online at Gamestop. Only afterwards did I manage to get a good chunk of trade-in credit at my local Gamestop store... I was looking to see if it was possible to remove my credit card and repay for these preorders with my newfound GS credit? Has anyone done this before? On the order history there's no option to edit your order, you can only cancel it. On my account page I noticed you could delete your current credit card but I did not know if that would end up deleting my order as well. I'm trying to do this without missing out on the 25% deal I got on this stuff, is it possible to repay with credit?
 
I used to work GS and they don't even have the option to do that in store. You have to cancel the order and re-preorder. You should just wait for the games to release, then go in store and return the game, then simply re-buy the game with your credit. Unfortunately there isn't anything to do about it now if you want to retain your discount. D:
 
Gotcha, thanks for the heads up. I figured I might've had a chance since they don't charge your CC until the order ships so there would still be a way to change my card or add GS credit.
 
Yeah, the system for pre-orders is pretty archaic. Just make sure you insist to the clerk when you return and re-pay with your credit that you get the same price you pre-ordered and purchased it for originally. They can do that so don't let them trick you. ;D
