Resident Evil 5 for $25 at Newegg.com

If you don't have it at this point, you're probably better off waiting for the Alternative Edition in March. Though all that extra content is coming out as DLC, too.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the gold edition. ...To go on sale. ;)

The 360 version is coming out only as DLC. The Alternative Edition will just have a DLC code included.

Wasn't aware of this, thanks for the heads up.

Didn't know that. I plan on getting it for PS3 since I really enjoyed the motion controls on RE4 and I'm curious as to how it will be with Sony's new motion controller.

I couldn't get into the whole "New game with classic controls" thing they were going for. I couldn't stomach the demo and even though that price is very tempting, i can't do it.

I don't know if you're simply referring to the fact that you can't move while you shoot, but they did offer 4 different control schemes based on whether you wanted an older RE feel, or a more modern approach that ends up giving you more maneuverability.

For those of you who passed on it because of the demo, I didn't feel there was enough time in the demo to get adjusted to the controls. Maybe try playing through it a few times. it's really a good game that shouldn't be passed up, buttttttttt for those on the edge I wouldn't pay $25 for it, maybe less than $15 would be worth the risk.

While I agree it sucks that we can't run and shoot or run and reload, you get used to it while playing the game.
Also, since the game is built on not being to do those on the run, it never feels unfair. Though, it is sad seeing enemies almost pause when they reach you and after they attack.
Hope the next game plays like dead space.

I hate dumb developers who can't think of better way to adjust difficulties so they do that by giving you hard controls or less save points.
I'm never gonna give them my money.

I know i'm late but I didn't mind so much not being able to run/reload/shoot (Actually i didn't notice that you couldn't run and shoot). It was the whole turn run turn run thing that killed me but i never did hear anything about the updated controls (thanks). I am gonna have to try it out again and see if i can get into it now but i might have to wait for it to drop below that $20 mark or find a copy to borrow.

Not sure which one will win out in the end in terms of price, CAPCOM isn't exactly price friendly on DLC. Is it officially confirmed that the Alternative Edition will have all old RE5 DLC along with the new DLC?
