I don't think I've seen this in any other threads so I apologize if this is a repost, but I was at Best Buy and saw they had Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for $19.99 new. That's $14.99 with either GGC coupon or the GamePro $5 off any DS game coupon.

I think $19.99 is the official price for it now, but so few stores still carry it.

Yeah I know it's been reduced in many places, but this is the first time I've seen it in store for a few months.
I've seen quite a few at circuit city for $16.96
i got this at CC when the cool deals was going on for $12.xx. its very limited now but you can still see this at like 3 out of 5 gamestops. better buy it before it disappear...

I don't think it's that limited. Besides, Capcom and/or GQD would probably just reprint it if it became "rare".
I have been looking for this but can't find it. =(
Are you serious abhinav? If you want, just let me know and I'll pick this up for you whenever I see the game. Try Wal-mart in our area.

All of my local TRU stores were sold out by the time it hit $10 there, but my local CompUSA store had about 10 copies for $9 each a couple of months ago.

I wish Best Buy still had this on their site so I could see if any stores nearby have it before driving all the way over. I tried calling but the guy sounded pretty clueless.
This game is awful on DS, I bought it release day, anyone else feel the same?
I do, I bought it in August when it was $30 at TRU, and with the $5 off any DS game coupon, it was $25. With only playing one other RE game before this(RE4), this was a complete let down. Not worth $15 IMO. Worst $25 I spent on a DS game since I got MPH the week of release.

I'd definitely have to disagree with the previous two posts, I really enjoyed this game.

What do you expect, mrcheapo, when your only other RE experience to compare this to was RE4?

I have to agree, I throughly enjoyied RE:DS. It does have a few glaring gameplay issues, foremost the inability to save at any time & those damn 1rst person knife fights.

Worth it if you're an RE fan (not just an RE4 fan).

Exactly. I consider R4E the best game I've ever played, but I couldn't take more than a few hours with any of the previous incarnations.

With that said, I won't be picking up RE: DS during the B2G1 free sale starting tomorrow...

I have beaten this game many times on the PSX, but this game is definitely showing its age. I dont think i will buy this game again seeing as I own it for the original playstation and the gamecube.

I have it for my Saturn :)

You can't compare RE1 to RE4, it's just too different. My question, though, is how does it compare to the original RE1 on PSX/Saturn?

I saw about 4 copies at the Best Buy in Hawthorne, CA if anyone is looking for one.

Just wanted to say, RE DS rawks!!

I would say hold out on $15 a/c but so few places will even have it anymore so if you hate getting used game it's probably now or never....

Its the same exact game. You can play the rebirth mode which adds some stylus puzzles and some annoying knife fights or you can play the original game. I dont think its the directors cut version though, or it may be, i cant remember

This game is very comparable to the original RE for PS1/Saturn. Being a die-hard RE fan from the start, its another one I love. If you like the older stuff, no reason not to like this. Same exact thing, and you get to have the mansion map displayed without hitting start every 10 seconds.

For those of you who played RE4 first, that game is entirely different from the rest of the series. Most of the people that like RE4 (which should be everyone), will NOT like RE: DS and the rest of the series.

Thats not toally true, RE4 is a game most can love, RE is a game that many can enjoy. Do not go into RE looking for a game like Resident Evil 4 but go into it looking for a good but different experience. (My views on this game are from the Gamecube version which is pretty good)
