I saw this new accessory at Gamestop for $19.99 called the Wii Shot Blaster. While it's similar to the Wii Blaster (it even rings up the same at the register), it is stylistically different.

Besides the obvious differences in color, this version of the Wii Blaster has its own trigger (as opposed to the regular version that forces you to reach forward and use the Wii Remote's trigger). I'm wondering if anyone's tried this out and liked it. The Wii Blaster itself has gotten some poorer reviews, but I'm wondering if this design is any better.

I can't find any reviews online. In fact, hardly anyone mentions the item and it's not listed on Gamestop.com. I thought that was interesting, considering that the gun is functionally different from the Wii Blaster.

Howdy all, new here. I just pick up one of these last week for my boy's b-day this sat. Very sweet looking gun. We have not try it yet but will soon. When I saw it......I was like wow where did this come from (it was hanging on a peg in a Gamestop store) ? See pics here....>>>>http://biohaze.com/blaster.htm

Nice. Let me know how it is. I'm especially wondering how the trigger is on the pistol part of the gun. I wanted to know if it clicks or feels mushy.

No problem, we'll do. It was just releash a few weeks ago to some GS stores and I have only seen one out of the three GS's I've been to (may be hard to find). On your e-bay link it sold for almost 3 times the MSRP price before they closed it out. I figure it might become a collectors item and worth the buy, besides it just looks so cool I had to have it !

Considering how well this game sold, Capcom still hasn't planned on a follow up with the other characters like Claire.

A few did sell for well under that, but this one happened to have the best pictures.

Weird thing is, there's practically nothing about this accessory on the internet. And since Gamestop lumps this SKU with the regular Wii Blaster, there's no way to do a store search for it. It's the same price as the regular Wii Blaster, but it is very different. Most of the time, when I ask a Gamestop employee, they'll say that they only got a few in and they sold right away.

i've seen these as well. it seems most GS got 2 in stock. i was thinking about picking up 1, maybe 2, just to have a pair, but i've already got 2 zappers and 2 perfect shots. if i got these, i'd try to get rid of the 2 zappers, but they probably won't go for much. this looks better than the blaster, b/c it actually has a trigger. the nunchuk part can also be separated from the gun, so it'd be like a perfect shot. you can also, for lack of a better word, pump the nunchuk part, by flicking it up, but i don't see how that'd feel right. i'm right handed, would be more natural to pump it with my right hand, but i'd want to hold the gun in my right hand.

Yeah we got 1 zapper, nerf gun, laser gun. So I was not looking for more, but I'm a sucker for cool looking guns and the cool factor on looks alone on this gun push me over the edge.......heck I'm not even real concern on how well this gun works our other guns are ok.
The Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles Shot Blaster is available in the Capcom Store.

Google the whole name as it appears above and you'll find several reviews, all positive.
I bought two of these earlier this year, finally got a chance to try them out on House of the Dead: Overkill. I never used the Nyko Perfect Shot, but I do like these gun RE: UC guns. They have a spot to hold the wrist strap so it's hanging off the side the entire time, and the trigger responsiveness is quite good. My only qualm is still having to keep my other hand on top of the gun so I can reload using the main wiimote button, but I'm not sure any gun offers a solution to this. It's not as cheap as the Perfect Shot, but might be worth a try if you're looking for a different gun.
